"Still not any trace of him?", Taehyung asks tiredly, taking a hold of the cup on the table, sipping on the coffee he thought was still there but soon finding out the cup is empty. "Bring me more coffee Richard", he says and points his finger at the cup with a frown.
"Ah, yes sir", the older man says and hurriedly takes the cup in his hold, starting to carry it towards the resting room where the coffed machine is located. This is the third time in an hour that the man has wanted a new cup of coffee.
"Yeah, we haven't found him yet sir. We suspect he has left the city at least. He didn't have a passport with him so he hasn't been able to leave the country legally", the prosecutor's assistant responses calmly while eyeing the papers in his hands.
"Ah, Kim Namjoon has been bugging us about his whereabouts and if you know anything about what happened to him or where he went", the man continues with a flick of his fingers, irritating the prosecutor's ears and nerves.
Taehyung frowns at the words.
"Namjoon?"
"Yes sir, Kim Namjoon, the CEO of-"
"Yes I know who he is, arrange me a meeting with him. I have something to ask", Taehyung says, his thoughts taking over his mind as he thinks about Namjoon not knowing anything about the missing boy either.
"I-I can't break it off with Namjoon", is the only thing he can hear as he tries to think about what may have happened. To be honest, at first Taehyung thought the younger run away because of him and their deal, maybe it's the case, who knows.
But something about Namjoon calling after him causes Taehyung to reconsider the meaning behind Jungkook's disappearing. But why would his cousin even think Taehyung would know anything about Jungkook's disappearing?
"Here's your coffee sir", Richard announces as he barges in the room with a cup of steaming black substance in the familiar coffee cup. Taehyung only nods and falls deep into his thoughts again.
"May I ask, why are you so intrigued to find the young boy's whereabouts sir?", the assistant asks with a small frown after a few minutes of silence besides the sound of Taehyung sipping on his coffee. Taehyung frowns at the question.
"What do you mean?! That boy may have the key to my current case at hand and the future of dad's company that might one day be mine! And we had a deal that he dared to break, he's in some deep trouble when we find him", Taehyung states like it's the obvious, sending a pissed off look to his assistant that's clearly regretting his own question.
