CHAPTER ONE!

It was a peaceful day in Auradon and Adelaide Beast, better known as Addy, was sitting on a chair that was on her balcony of her bedroom, listening to her best friend, Elijah, son of Ariel and Eric, play a new song that he recently wrote.

Addy smiles as she watches Elijah strum his guitar as he sings the lyrics to his song effortlessly as if he has sang it a million times before even though this was his first time playing this song to anyone. Elijah opens his eyes when he heard clapping after he finished the song. He shyly smiled at Addy clapping at him.

 " Eli, that was great! I think I may even teared up a bit." Addy admitted and he rolled his eyes even though there was a smile on his face.

" Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. You're the first person I played it to." he takes a shaky breath. " I was really nervous."

Addy chuckled and patted his shoulder. " Well, I didn't notice you were. You have talent, dude. Why don't you ever show other people your talent?"

He sighs as he lays his guitar carefully on the ground besides the chair he was sitting in. " Other people might not like my so called talent like you do. You're my best friend. You have to say you like it."

Addy frowns. " But I really do like the song. And I'm sure other people would as well. You never know until you try."

The red head shrugged his shoulders. " I dunno. I'll think about it."

" Don't say that." Addy points at him. " That means that you're not."

Elijah looks at his watch that's on his right wrist and his eyes widened. " I'm gonna be late for practice. I'll see you later, Addy."

" Have fun at practice." Addy waves as he picks up his guitar and rushes out of her room.

Earlier that day she was walking by the lockers when she noticed her older brother, Ben, leaning against the lockers with a dreamy smile on his face and then she noticed the purple motorcycle with a yellow bow near him and she connected the dots.

" Hey, big bro." Addy greets as she walks up to him.

He jumps, not expecting anyone, but smiles as he looks over at Addy. " Hey, sis."

Addy smirks. " What's with that dreamy look you had on your face a minute ago?"

Ben rolled his eyes. " It was nothing."

" It was Mal, wasn't it?" Addy asks, already knowing the answer.

Ben sighed, but then nodded and smiled. " Yeah."

" You're head over heels for her, Ben." Addy says and then smiles. " I'm happy for you. You two make a great couple."

Ben smiles, glad that she was happy for him and he wraps an arm around her shoulders pulling her in for a side hug. " Thanks, Ada, that means a lot coming from you."

" So," he pulled away from the side hug and crossed his arms as he smirked at her. " Has anyone asked you to the Cotillion yet? Maybe perhaps, oh I don't know, Elijah?"

Addy rolled her eyes and Ben laughed as she playfully shoved him to the side. " Me and Eli are just best friends. When are you going to get that into your brain, big bro?" she asks as she points his head and he slaps away her hand.

" Okay, sorry." he raises his hands up in defense before he shrugged his shoulders and then crossed his arms. " I just thought you two would always be a thing considering how close you guys are."

" Can a guy and a girl not just be friends?" Addy asked him with a raised brow.

" Yeah, they can." Ben nodded. "  I just thought you two would end up together. Do you not have a crush on him?"
