time skip to lexi's house
we get to my house and walk inside. we say hi to my mom and go up to my room.
it's been about an hour and we've just been talking and watching movies, then i hear a knock on my door. "come in!" i say as my mom peaks her head through the door.
"honey can you come downstairs for a minute, i need to talk to you" "yeah mom, i'm coming" you say as your mom walks downstairs.
"hey babe, i'll be back ok" "ok". you walk downstairs kind of nervous because you have no idea what your mom is going to say.
you walk over to your mom in the kitchen and she has a worried look on her face. "hey sweetie," your mom says in a soft tone "are you and jaden dating?" "yeah, why ?"
"well, i know this is going to be hard for you, but.. we have to move to miami because of my job."
"what. mom we can't!" "honey, i'm sorry but we have to." "but why! i just got great new friends and into an amazing relationship, now you just want to ruin that for me?!!" "i'm sorry but we have to,"
"why?! you want my love life to be horrible just because yours is! it's not my fault dad left you!!" "LEXI STOP IT." "whatever mom"
you run back upstairs crying. you open your door and jaden immediately runs up to you. "baby, are you okay i heard yelling?" "can we go back to your house?" "of course but calm down please, i don't like seeing you cry baby"
"ok, can we go now please" he nods and we walk outside and we order an uber back to his house.
"fuck" jaden sighs. "what is it?" "our uber won't be here for another hour." "omg what am i gonna do" "can you tell me what all that yelling was about?"
i let out a sigh 😔 "baby, my mom said we have to move" "what's so bad about that?" "jaden we have to move to miami.." his face goes white.
"i'm so sorry" i say and break down crying into his chest. he wraps his arm around me and starts crying a little. we stand there in the cold outside like that for 30 mins.
"baby, we've gotta be strong, you turn 18 in a few days don't you?" "yeah why" "well i live by myself, you can move in with me" "but what if my mom doesn't let me" "we can just hope for the best, c'mon let's go talk to her about it."
we walk in to see my mom. "ms. williams, i understand that lexi turns 18 in a few days and so it wouldn't be so hard on her, we have something to say."
"mom, can i please please pleaseee move in with jaden, he has an amazing house and then i wouldn't have to leave him or my friends." "ms. williams i promise you i will take very good care of her"
"honey you can't live with jaden you know"

i never thought my mom would say anything like that to me. it broke my heart. i didn't know what to do or what just happened.
i grabbed jadens hand and we ran out the door. about 30 seconds later the uber pulled up and we got in and went to jadens house.
