<Four’s POV>

Being stuck here sucks. I would go outside more often if Pin wasn’t here. Not that I hate her, it’s just for her safety.
In theory, we could just leave her here while we go outside, but even then…

“H-Hey Four?” a familiar voice asked me from behind.

I turn around to see Pin, with a worried expression on her face.

“Hm?” I said, with a cold expression on my face.

“We should go look for food. I didn’t eat at all for the past couple days…” She said, while staring at the ground.

“Hmm… sure.” I hesitantly responded.

I looked around me, trying to find X. I know he slept, but I don’t know where.

I then felt something poke my shoulder. Out of surprise, I turn around, alert.

It was only X. And he was giggling.

I seriously can’t handle his laughing. It’s too adorable.

I grab him and I hug him very tightly, relieved that he’s okay.

I could hear Pin sighing behind me, but I didn’t bother.

I opened my mouth to speak but he cut me right away.

“I know what we’re going to do!” He said, a smile growing on his face. I smiled back, letting him go of my hug.

I started to walk towards the stairs, looking behind me a few times to see if they were following me.

Why are there so many stairs? Why not an elevator? Getting up and down these stairs is tiring me, which isn’t good if we have to run or something.

Then, we reach the top.

I press on a button which made the doors open.

The cold wind started to blow inside, which caught me off guard a bit.

I forgot about that. One day we might fall down the stairs because of it!

I peek outside, and I examine our surroundings. Only a thick forest, and some plain grass. Nothing more.

I step outside, followed by X and Pin. The door slowly closed, making lots of noise. It made Pin jump a bit, but otherwise we ignored it.

I started to walk towards the forest. Which is probably a bad idea, but who cares at this point?

“Uhm, Four? Did you plan this out?” X suddenly asked, with uneasiness in his voice.

“Nope!’ I immediately responded.

I’m going to screw this up, aren’t I?

“I- FOUR!” X shouted at me.

“First off, don’t yell! And second, maybe we could just… split up?” I said, as I tried to think rapidly on a plan.

“Four, I think this is a bad idea-“Pin started before I cut her off.

“You and X are going to be together, and I’m going alone. You can go wherever you want, but if you guys are in trouble, yell!”

“W-What about you Four? Isn’t it dangerous to be alone?” X asked, grabbing my arm.

“I’m going to be fine! If I’m in trouble, I can send a zappie in the air for you guys to hear or see!” I reassured X, while patting his head gently.

X sighed and hugged me. “I still think this is a bad idea, but I trust you on this.”

“We’re only doing this for Pin. I don’t want her to starve. I don’t even know how many contestants are still alive at this point.” I sighed, while hugging him back.

I then let go of the hug, and open my arms to offer a hug to Pin as well, but she backed up a bit.

Oh. Okay then. No hugs.

“Well, I’m off!” I said, while waving at them.

They waved back, and I walked off, towards the forest.
Hmm…… What do objects eat?

I mean, I know what they eat, obviously. But what do they prefer? What food is poisonous to them and what isn’t? I mean, I don’t know, I don’t need to eat.

I charged up my right hand to shoot a zappie, just in case.
While walking, I came across a pool of blood and ooze.

Great. Someone recently died.

But it’s not the right time to focus on that. What I need to find is either a house or some kind of shelter with food.

I’m not risking it with berries. I don’t know which are poisonous.
As I walked deeper in the forest, I could hear a couple of branches cracking. But they weren’t broken because I was stepping on them.

I was being followed.

By who? I don’t know.

But they were getting faster as we speak.

I turn around, looking for eyes, but nothing.

Any shadows? Nope.

I was charging up my zappie until I felt really sharp pain in my right arm. By Instinct, I shot my zappie out in the air, while looking at my arm.

Golf ball decided it was a good idea to bite me.

Great.

I immediately started to shake my arm, trying to get her off, but she held on.

I then punched her. She’s still biting me, again.

I then charged my left hand for a zappie, but something felt… wrong.

It wasn’t as bright, or didn’t feel as powerful. And in the middle, it was darker… and it wouldn’t shoot.

I tried screeching her, but I hissed instead.

What?

<Clock’s POV>

It is finally morning!

And, surprisingly, Lollipop is already awake.

She is sitting next to me, and she is looking outside. Probably guarding.

I decided not to bother her and to go get some food myself.

The instant I got up, I couldn’t move.

Lollipop was hugging me.

It’s almost like she just, jumped on me.

“Why… are you hugging me?” I asked, visibly confused.

“Because I’m worried about you…”

“What? I can’t understand you, you know?”

“….I don’t care.”

“Whatever. You can tell me later.”

Lollipop then let go of me, and grabbed a stick. She started to write the following on the ground:

I had to give back to you somehow. You and Eggy saved me. So I saved you. I wish I could’ve done the same for Eggy…

“You didn’t have to, and besides, don’t be too sad for Eggy. You were resting and you couldn’t even move.”

Lollipop then started to hug me again.

“You know I have to get food for myself..?”

Lollipop then hugged me even tighter.

“Fine, I’ll stay.”

Lollipop then smiled, but didn’t let go of me.

I never expected her to worry about me, like Eggy constantly did for me.
