Sayori's POV

Natsuki covered her mouth and backed up into a wall, I rushed over and grabbed her hands, "what's wrong?" I ask her. "It's my dad....he's here, he's not supposed to be here today" Natsuki whispered, trying not to cry. "Ok look I'll go answer the door, you go up stairs and wait for me ok?" She nodded and ran up the stairs. I went to the door and opened it with a smile on my face. "Good afternoon sir, may I help you?"
"Is Natsuki here? I'm her dad, I need to talk to her for a moment."
"Oh yeah, hi dadsuki hehe, she's a little busy right now, you know in the shower and all"
"...Well when she gets out the shower tell her to call me, I can't stay long, I've gotta head to work anyways"
"Ok bye dadsuki!"
He rolls his eyes and walks away, I close the door behind him sighing. "Ok he's gone now but he expects a call from you in a couple of minutes" I said calling Natsuki back downstairs. She slowly crept downstairs, peeping at the door, "Your sure he's gone?" she asked nervously. "Yes I'm sure, I just heard his car drive off", she sighed in relief and sat back down on the couch. I made my way to the couch, sitting down next to her and resting my head on her shoulder as I grabbed her hand. I could hear how her heart raced. It made me wonder, is her dad really that bad enough to shake her up like this? I looked up at her, she looks uncomfortable still...ah! But what should I do? What would cheer her up? Wait but-ah I don't know what to do! Before I could think of something Natsuki started squeezing my hand a bit roughly with tears running down her eyes and said "I wish he'd just leave me alone...". I felt even more uncomfortable and anxious to do something...Oh I've got an idea. "I'll be right back Natsuki, I'm just gonna grab something from upstairs" I got up from the couch but before I could take a step she grabbed my arm and pulled me back down, "W-wait...stay a bit longer". I sat back down and wrapped my arms around her as she went in for a hug. Dang it, all I wanted to do was grab the bear from upstairs and hope it would be enough to make her feel better, Is a hug all I can do? This thought made me feel useless, ah but it's been too quite for so long now, I gotta do something. "Nat...do you...wanna talk about it?" She shook her head and said "we should go see if the park if clear now instead". I looked out the window and realize that the sun is starting to go down, "oh yes of course, we should hurry though, we don't want to miss that beautiful sunset". When we got up, we slipped on shoes and made our way out the door. Like before I held Natsuki's hand as we walked and we passed this couple, a man and a woman. As we walked by they just looked as us up and down with a weird look on their face, not exactly disgusted but I could tell that's probably what they were thinking. I think Natsuki noticed this too because as they walked away she held my hand tighter and whispered I love you. I stopped walking and faced her, I looked back at the couple and at her saying in a normal but loud enough voice, "I love you too Natsuki" then I kissed her and continued walking. She was startled at first but then she smiled and followed along by me. When we got to the park it was clear of people, not a noisy child or crazy teenager in sight, just the two of them. They sat on swings next to each other, watching the sun fall down into this lake out in the distance. Everything felt calm and the air was warm, it was absolutely perfect. Suddenly there's this music, like a song played at a main screen of a game, then the sound of a button being pressed and everything went black. I heard nothing, I felt nothing, I remembered...nothing, all I remember is waking up and being late for school.
