My name is Harley Martens, I'm 16 and I'm an only child. I have light brown hair that fades into golden tips, my eyes are brown, I'm 5'5 and love volleyball and most bands. I live with my mom in a small house off the beach. I go to Golden Sea High School. My best friend Joshua (or Josh) lives right next to me or lived. He died during the summer in a car crash.
When he died it was when we were on our way home from a party, my favorite song came on the radio so I turned it up as loud as I could, then he reached down to turn down the music and i tried to pull his hand away and a car crashed into us. Do to the accident my eye was cut and I can barely see out of it, the color is no longer brown but a light blue and it kills me to look in the mirror every morning to see the constant reminder of Josh and what happened. After that I've separated myself from people and shut them out.
People at my old school always teased me or blamed me for it. Then one day this group of girls pushed me too far and I fought them. my principal desired it would be best if I left. The only thing that has stopped me from cutting and killing myself was because I made a promise to Josh before high school that we would never do it and I don't brake promises.
