New life

It's the start of a new semester , and tomorrow I will start WCU. I moved here with the intention to start a fresh, based on my pass I have been thru a rocky year, but thank  God for my  family and counselling that brought me out of that dark place. There are still mental scars but I still try to work on them so they don't hurt as they use to. 

It has been a month now since my Mom and little sister Jessica moved here. We actually like the new scenery ,and it is very different from our old town back in Indiana. The houses are a little further apart and our neighborhood is quite almost too quite ,all the house looks the same, the only difference is the house numbers and whatever car that is parked in your drive way.

The first day moving here, our neighbors came to welcome us to the neighborhood bringing us home made cookies , we met a nice old lady that live down the street Mrs. Bailey was her name , she gifted Mom a pot of flowers as she loves gardening, and they both made plans on planting some flowers out front,

We met our direct neighbors Mr and Mrs Cole who has a son around Jessi's age , Mom talks with them as she introduced us  and promise to have dinner sometimes.

It's almost noon and I have just finish getting my things ready for the new school year I got to admit I am  nervous but a little excited at the same time.

My room is small but very neat, a small bed sits in the middle with windows on both sides, white furniture are placed at each corner of the room, from a white dresser infont of my bed, to a small white chair in the corner next to the  bed . beside tables at each sides of my bed, a picture of my family and I sits on the left  table and on the right  is a lamp with blue shades.

The walls are painted in my favourite color teal blue ,pictures of myself are hanged on the wall and some of my favorite quotes. I even like this new room better than my old one, even though it's a bit smaller

I walked out my bedroom door down the hall to a shared bathroom for Jessica and I, The bathroom is also small we both decorated it together with a few things we like.

I freshened up for dinner and headed downstairs to join mom and Jessica . They were already seated around the table .

"what's for dinner mom" .

"your favorite dear",

just by the thought of hearing that I almost drool , I took a seat,and started filling plate of pot roast beef a side of mashed potatoe salad, some rice and Peas and mom's famous mac and cheese.

I Duged in when I look up Jessi's is looking at me all weird and smiling

" What now jessi"

,nothing" she says waving her hand in the air .

" just don't start choking  cause I won't pat your back,

"whatever " I said rolling my eyes and we all started to laugh.

"Mhhh "I cleared my throat ,

"So Jessi you are about to start a new school and you know new school calls for new friends, are you excited are what ?"

she puts her finger up signaling her mouth is full after  chewing on what was left in her mouth she begins to speak

" Well for one I am good at making friends and I am not really excited , but look who is talking about new friends and school."

She pouts at me while taking some salad on her fork,

"I will be fine thank you, I actually don't like alot of friends based on the ones I had  at my last college", I seen you already made friends with our neighbors son."

I forced a smile trying not to remember my pass .

  "So girls I have talked with your Dad today he says he will be home from his business trip next weekend and we can all go out and have a good time "

my mom says changing the topic .

" Great ! "  Jessica announced  "I have missed him"
 
By the time we finished dinner it's almost 7 o'clock , I left the kitchen while mom and Jessi clean up and headed to my room.

I pulled my laptop out from my desk and lay in bed to watch some movies, I like action movies but ended up watching one of my favourite  drama series called " Empire"  . I resume from where I left off at season 6

I text Molly my only friend back home, she is continuing her year at our old school and she promised to come visit me sometime soon. We text back and fourth .

It's already 9 o'clock and I decide to change in my pyjama, I texted Molly goodnight and put away my laptop  and prepared for bed , 

I brushed my teeth and pulled my hair in a messy bun on top of my head, I got into bed and tug my covers up over my body,  turned off the light ,before I know it I was fast asleep.
