Chapter 3

I close the front door and headed to my car parked beside of my mother's in the driveway, I was able to buy my own car when I got a job as a sales rep at a local auto part place where I worked back in Indiana.

It was a decent job seeing I was making enough money, I even learned about cars a little more than average girls So it all helped with owning this Red 2013 honda accord, front wheel drive . It's cozy enough for me

I got in my car and turn the key, the engine gave a light purr as the car came alive. I strapped myself in and pulled out of my drive way, heading down my street I can't help this nervous feeling that seems to creep in every moment I am relaxed.

I turned some music on to lighten my mood, and to be honest it's working.  It's now 7: 25 am and I am five minutes away. I am glad My Dad got us a house near to civilization  so I have no worries with shopping are getting to the college on time. Compared with the last house.

Before you know it  I am pulling in the school yard, there is a huge wall at the driveway heading up the school yard with the name of the school "WCU" Western Carolina University.  Its alot different from the old college in terms of being alot bigger , it has lush green lawns that was perfectly kept, where students are sitting, and some looks to be studying. I take in the scenery as the car comes to an halt, parking in the car lot for students here.

I grab my bag from the passengers seat pulling the schools map out , so I can navigate myself to my first class which is Literature .  I close the door of  my car and made my way to the main entrance.

Some students are heading in as well while other stand and chat. I take the stair and pass the big wooden doors where a banner above the door states " welcome to WCU". The school seems big from the outside, but is much smaller being inside. It is full of beautiful red brick buildings with arches and ivory. It also has a few more contemporary buildings thrown in there, one particularly interesting one looks like a cheese grater .

I think this  campus is gorgeous.  as soon as I entered the main hall it is packed with student some trying to get to class , girls dressed in cheer leading outfit applying makeup ,there are even   a few making out at the lockers.

I looked for the Locker assigned to me and manage to get most of my stuff in .. taking my books and my other utensils I made my way up the stairs to my first class.

When I got in the class everyone had just started to come in , I took my seat in the front row.  Minutes later the lecturer wards in with her hands fill with papers. She introduces herself as Ms. Smith.

Class ended with her handing out the papers she came in with for our first assignment. I am not feeling so bad after all, I got to meet Heather she was sitting beside and we both major in the same
Social Science . We mange to get to know each other depite the fact the our lecture was gazing at us as she wanted to call us out even though most of the class was conversing.

Heather is 20, I will be a year older than her in the next couple of months , she is also a sophomore she did first year here so she knows the school well.

Heather is a tall, sleek girl, with blonde wavy hair that falls just above her shoulders,  she has dark brown eyes that lies a perfect set of full eyebrows. Her rounded face sits atop her shoulders with a smile that fits her face nicely.

We headed to our next class Environmental studied.  This class goes by soon , we don't do much since it's the first day we were just prep on the syllabus for this symester. The bell goes of signaling the end of this period and time for the last class before lunch I can't wait to get some food.

Heather and I went to different class this period  I took  Psychology while she did Sociology, we planned on meeting up for lunch after classes so she can introduce me to some of her friends and show me around the school.
