Chapter 13

"Only you can heal him fully Yuki, please take care of him and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid" I spoke to no one as I watched from my window how she embraced him. I know better than to get too close, after all the person who hurt him is very dear to me, 'I'm sorry Zero but, Shi-san gave me the love of a mother and I don't blame her for what she did because it was due to what was done to her lover' I clutched my shirt in grieve as memories of my time with them both came to mind, they were the closest ones to family before one was taken away from me but I know there is more to it. My hands clenched but I stopped seeing as some of the window glass started to crack slightly, 'That power just like his, it's a curse'

Turning away I grabbed my weapon I need to go out on patrol, I hope that what you said earlier Yuki really does change his mind. It will be a torture to Zero if he is put in the same class as those he hates, you are the only one he cares about after all I am still a vampire. I walked out ignoring the stares from the others my body moving on its own since my mind was so lost in thought but I didn't miss Kaname standing by the window, 'He must have seen it too, you have two men in love with you Yuki what will happen when you have to choose'

Watching them both as papa explained to them the spell I could almost hear their thoughts and couldn't help but feel happy that Yuki will be the one to guide him. Their bond is strong I can almost see the red thread that ties them together, Zero did follow my advise and hasn't become to attached to me at least I hope. Snapping back as Zero lay on the ground with a sort of purple smoke surrounding him and swords on each corner I tilted my head, 'What happened?' Yuki called out his name worriedly but papa reassured us saying that he was just immobilized. "Kaname has allowed Zero to stay in the day class but only under this condition" "Kaname had said that?" "Well since his dearest Yuki made a request he just couldn't say no" papa lightly teased and I faintly see a blush on Yuki's face which cause Zero's face to turn into a scowl. "I'm sorry Zero I never wanted to use this method on you, just try to make deed with this" Kaien handed him a pack of blood tablets before offering his blood if Zero ever came to crave any which earned him a beating from Zero. Standing up and brushing off the dirt from his uniform he walked towards the door, "Zero" he answered her without even turning "Its fine" and walked out making silence overcome the office. "Yuki make sure he stays in line if not that man.." he trailed before passing out after Yuki asked about the man. "Rin, keep an eye out there have been more recent attacks from Level E's in the area" I nodded before answering "I see, I will go check it out since I have to go out into town to buy somethings" I yawned and rubbed my eyes while walking out and waving at him before heading to the dorms to change from my uniform into more casual clothes.

'You are wake, shocker' I spoke while the magneta haired boy stared at me boredly his powder-blue eyes half-lidded. "I got hungry" 'Hmm' walking past him I was stopped when he held a box of pocky in front of me blocking my path, "Here you can have them since I'm full" pushing his hand away I kept walking ignoring his stare, 'No thanks, you might hungry later as you always do' my words were playful but sounded bore due to my emotionless voice. I walked in and started undressing, my clothes were simple; a black shirt with a jacket over to protect me from the sun, as well as a pair of maroon pants and black-combat style boots. My weapon was tucked into my pocket as I didn't want to attract attention by having it strapped on my back like someone. "I can't believe you are going to come and keep watch, sensei" my tone was sickly sweet as I thought back to our first encounter.

Flashback

I was starving since I hadn't drank any blood, animals were scarce on this parts due to people hunting them for fun or the high level of Level E's who satiated their hunger with their blood. The deeper into the woods I walked the stronger the smell of blood became making my eyes glow, I followed the scent into a clearing where multiple clothes littered the ground along with some distinct piles of ashes. 'A vampire hunter must be near, and judging by how fresh the smell of blood is..then he is still around" quickly jumping out of the way I narrowly missed a bullet "A clever kid, huh to know that I was near. You must be a ranked Vampire unlike these beasts" I scrunched up my nose at the smell of the cigar and smoke that followed the man before pulling out my weapon. I could see his eyes light up with recognition before he puffed out some smoke and inhaled again before pulling the cigar from his mouth and speaking. "You must be the son that idiot Kaien won't stop blabbering about" he stated watching me . I didn't move not even when his stance slightly relaxed and he placed his rifle on his shoulder and took small steps towards me stopping when he was about 3 feet away and looking down at me. "You know my father?" I asked him breaking the tense silence "Yes" he narrowed his eye before speaking in a harsh tone "Come on vampire, I'll train you to wield that weapon better. Its not every day you see a vampire wielding a vampire hunter's weapon, it will be fun to see if you are as strong as you make yourself seem"
