Chapter 12

*Ponyboys POV*

I woke up moving. My back hurt. And I was covered in black smoke. Huh?

"Where am i?" I asked.

"Your in an ambulance kid. You three are pretty brave. Ya hero's or something?" A man said.

"Haha..heros...nah were greasers." I said weakly.

Then I remembered.

"Where are Dally and my boyfriend - Johnny." I corrected myself.

" Oh those two? Who's who? " the man asked.

"Dally is the brown haired mean looking one and Johnny is small and tan." I described .

"Oh. Dally will be good. Just a burn on his arm. But the other one...he's in critical condition. Burns all over." he described.

Oh god no...please not my boyfriend.

I got to the hospital and was now in the waiting room smoking.

I was a little better considering Johnny didn't break bones or anything. He could possibly be ok.

"Ya shouldn't smoke kid." the man whose name is Jerry said.

" Why? " I asked.

"It aint good fer ya." Jerry said.

Id been smoking since I was 11.

"Hey there are some boys here to see ya, yer brothers er something." Jerry said.

I immediately ran to the elevator and Soda had me in a hug.

"Oh Ponyboy" he said.

I hugged him tight. I missed him so fucking much.

"Your tuff hair." Soda said ruffling my hair.

I chucked.

Then I turned to Darry. He looked at me with pleading eyes and said in a low husky voice:

"Ponyboy I'm so sorry honey. I didn't mean anything I did that night. C'mere."

I ran to him giving him the same tight hug I have Soda.

"I love you." I said.

We were all in the waiting room and hoping Johnny was ok.

Then a doctor came.

"We have some news..." she said.
