Anna POV

I sat in the doctor's office, I had been able to shake off Marcus's guard, he really should get me to train them, they're not the best at following people. I hadn't actually been sick or anything, but something just told me that I was pregnant, I can't explain it.

"Hello Anna, it's good to see you again!"

"Hello Dr. Jefferson, how are you today?"

"Good, come on through," he says to me, smiling, as he shows me into a room. "What seems to be the problem today Anna?"

"Um, well, I think it might be pregnant...," I mutter.

"Ok then, well, I'llget you to do a pregnancy test before we go any further and we can see shall we?" He says smiling at me, handing me over a container.

"Well Anna, I can safely tell you that you are in fact pregnant, congratulations!"

"Thank you, Dr. Jefferson, what should I do now?"

"Well, after you and Marcus have finished celebrating your good news, we'll organize an ultrasound to check everything is going well. I'm surprised he's not here with you, I know how protective he can be."

I smile, "I wasn't sure if I was or not, so I wanted to check first before I told him. I'm going home to tell him now."

He smiled, "I know he's going to be so happy. Come back next week for the ultrasound ok? We'll make it Monday at 9 am"

"Thank you, Dr. Jefferson, we'll see you again then."

I can't wait to tell Marcus, I know we've had our problems, but I know that he loves me. He had been trying so hard to make it up to me, and I love him with all of my heart. I don't know what I'd do without him, he's my whole world and now we're going to raise our baby together. I walk into the home and know instantly that something is wrong. The atmosphere is completely wrong. Everyone is looking at me like they know something that I do not. I walk into our bedroom and find Marcus sitting on the bed with his head in his hands.

"Marcus, what's wrong?"

"Anna, h-how are you? I didn't know where you'd gone."

"I had an appointment at the doctors, I just got back. What's going on?"

"Anna, there's something I need to tell you," he said with a frown on his face.

"I have something to tell you too, but my news is good, so you tell me yours first."

"Perhaps you should tell me first?"

"No," I say shaking my head, "you should always tell the bad news first, and then you have something good to hear afterward!"

He gets up off the bed and comes over towards me, "Anna, you know that I love you."

"What's happened?"

"Anna, I love you more than life itself, I want nothing more than to spend my entire life trying to make you happy, give you everything you could possibly ever want."

"Marcus, you're making me nervous,"

"Anna, there's no easy way to say this...."

"Honey!" came a screechy voice, "have you told her yet?"

I turn around to see Scarlett standing behind me with a huge grin on her face. I spin back around to Marcus, "what is she doing here?"

"She!" screeched Scarlett, "she! Honey, I'm moving in. Hasn't he told you yet? We're getting married!"

"What?!?" I scream at Marcus, "What the hell is she talking about?"

"Honey," smiles Scarlett, "I'm pregnant!"

The color drains from my face, I look at Marcus for confirmation, he's just standing there, looking at me with tears in his eyes, he takes hold of my hands "Anna, I have no choice, I have to marry the mother to my heir."

I snatch my hands away from his hands, I take a deep breath. I slam the door in her face and lock it, so it's just me and Marcus, I take a further step away from him before I start. "Marcus, you know as well as I do that she is a slut, how do you even know that she is having your baby?"

"Anna, you can't say things like that, I know this is hard, but I don't have a choice."

"No Marcus, you need to make a choice. If you want to check this whole baby thing out with her and see if it's really true then I will stay by your side until we know the truth, if you are taking her by her word then I will walk, I am not going to stay with a man who doesn't truly love me."

"Anna, I've made her have an ultrasound, she is pregnant."

"So that's your decision? You're taking her by her word? Even though she has lied constantly since before I even met her, and she slept with you when she knew we were together, and God knows what other despicable things she has done in her life."

"I have no choice, Anna,"

"Yes, you do, and you just made it." I grab my purse.

"Please Anna," pleads Marcus, "please don't leave!"

"Excuse me?!? You expect me to stay here and watch you play happy families with someone else? What am I meant to do with my life? Be a toy for you whenever you feel like taking me off the shelf? I think we both know I have more self-respect than that Marcus. You've made your choice and now you've got the consequences. If you change your mind you better be up for a game of hide and seek."

"Is that what you think of me? I'd use you for a toy?"

"What the hell else would I be doing here? Do you want to give me the job of a fucking bodyguard?" I scoff.

Marcus's anger gets the best of him, "Fine then Anna, you know what? You're right. This is my decision, get the hell out of my house!"

"I plan on it, now that I've turned my back on my Familia's mafia for you, my whole family to be with YOU, you Marcus, you're literally leaving me with nothing and no one. You understand that, don't you?"

Marcus takes a step forward, "Get out."

I slap him hard, "Oh Marcus, you have no idea what you've just done." I say to him in a whisper. I open the door to see Scarlett still standing there, smirking at me. I walk straight past her and walk out of the house. I have to find an apartment to live in for a couple of days. I am going to find out the truth about Scarlett and have my ultrasound. I'm going to bring that bitch down and make Marcus regret everything he has done. I have to make a phone call that I never thought I'd have to make.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Uncle Sebastian? I need your help."
