Damien's POV

The phone call came out of nowhere, I knew it was due any time now but I wasn't sure when exactly.

"Hello Anna, how are you and my grandson doing?" I ask

"Good, he's doing really well. He is due in three weeks from now. Strong heartbeat, kicks me constantly, definitely going to be good at fighting," she replied, I could hear her smiling.

I laugh, "That is wonderful to hear!"

"H-how is Marcus?" she asks timidly

I frown, "he is running the mafia well, he is going crazy trying to find you though. He hasn't stopped since he found out that the whore was lying about being pregnant with his child."

"Always great to hear I'm a second choice for someone," she mutters.

"Sweetheart, you have always been and will always be his first choice, you should understand why he was going to marry her," I explain

"Of course, but he cheated on me, and he also threw me out of the house the day she told him, the day! There was no checking, no seeing if she was lying, nothing! After everything that had happened, she told him something and he just accepted it as law and she had no right, no r..." I could hear her sighing, "this isn't getting us anywhere, and stress isn't good for my blood pressure. I'm calling you so that you can come and visit me. I'm not actually staying in my apartment at the moment, I have been driving for some time to get to the place where I'm staying until I give birth, I thought perhaps you and if you'd like to bring her, Patricia, would like to come and stay with me until I give birth?"

I smiled, "we would be honored, I don't suppose you'll tell me how long you were traveling for to get to this place?"

She laughed, "somewhere between 24 and 96 hours, and that is all you're getting from me. I am either going in to labor before my due date or on my due date. I am booked to have an inducement on my due date if I don't have it early, for the fact that I do not want to be overdue in case of mafia-related issues. Just so that you are aware, you will not be able to leave here once you have arrived, so I suggest if you're coming that you find a way to leave the mansion for several weeks. Oh, and if you dare to bring extra guards or Marcus, or anyone other than yourself and your wife, or you try to track me, I will leave in the middle of the night and our deal is off, ok?"

I sigh, "Of course, I understand. You give methe address and I will take care of things from my end. No one will know."

Anna's POV

This compound was ideal for pregnancy. Theselast three weeks were going to be relaxing. I had a team of various medicalpersonnel including doctors, midwives, obstetricians, and nurses, as well as ateam of people to clean, cook and just basically doing anything that may berequired. The compound itself consists of a medical area, a delivery suite aswell as a normal medical suite., a large kitchen, five bedrooms, a dining room,a large lounge area as well as a beautiful garden, swimming pool and a nursery,although this will only be used in case of an emergency, I plan on leaving herebefore anyone else does, I'm not giving them a chance to follow or track me. IfI leave in the night while they are sleeping then they will not be able tofollow. I trust Damien, but I cannot be too careful.

I have been here for 4 days when I hear the alarm sounding, telling me that someone is approaching. I pick up my phone to check the surveillance. It appears to be Damien and Patricia. I will stop them at the gate and check before letting them in though.
