Julia Towns-Simmons POV:

Today is Halloween and The Timberwolves play The Sixers.

My husband Karl plays on the Timberwolves and my brother Ben on play for the Sixers.

Since it was Halloween, my sister Olivia and parents flew in from Australia. Growing up, Halloween was one of the holidays we loved to celebrate.

Karl and I were laying in his bed trying to get our son Marcus to take a nap before we left for the arena.

Liv and I decided to go to the arena's Trick or Treat route for the kids. Even though Marcus and my niece Savannah are too young to trick or treat, we wanted to surprise the boys with their costumes.

We had Marcus between us both, but he wouldn't stop crying. Karl grabbed him and laid him on his chest and of course, he stopped crying.

"Trader," I said,

Marcus just smiled.

"That's my son," said Karl.

"Watch it."

"I think someone's jealous," he said.

"Of course I am," I said,

I was. I totally was. Before Marcus turned nine months, my baby would always prefer me. Not he was liking Karl more.

Karl turned to his nightstand to answer his phone that was buzzing.

"It's Liv. She's downstairs with Sav," he said as he read his phone.

"Can you call the front desk so they let her come up? Please."

Marcus had finally fallen asleep.

"Got it," he said, getting up from the bed.

"Look at my baby."

"Babe I'm talking about Marcus," I said as I pointed to my baby laying in the bed.

Karl's smile turned upside down.

"That boy has taken my shine." He said.

Karl crossed his hands over his chest and looked at me.

"Now look who sounds jealous."

"Julia Towns, you know I'm not the jealous type." He said.

"Baby go make that call. Olivia is probably waiting down there." I said

"Man whatever." Said Karl as he left the room.

I got up from the bed and put his costume in the diaper bag before Karl returned.

Liv and I decided to show support for both Ben and Karl, dressing up the kids with baby jerseys.

I had bought a Ben and Karl jersey, cut the back part of both of the jersey's and sewed them on the opposite jersey.

Ben and Karl had no idea what we were doing.

Now my son has his dad's and uncle's jersey. And Savannah had both of her uncle's numbers.

My sister Olivia had walked into the room.

"Sistah Sistah," she said as she walked into the room.

"Hellooo. Where's Sav." I asked.

"She's with Karl."

"I have her jersey in Marcus's diaper bag."

"Ok, I'll go get her."

"No! Don't," I said

Liv walked back into the room.

"We'll get them dressed when we get to the arena. I don't want to risk Karl seeing them."

I didn't want to ruin the surprise.

"Alright, well are you ready?" She asked.

"Yeah, I just need to brush my hair and I'll be ready."

"Ok well, I'll wait in the living room." She said,

She left our room and I went to finish getting ready.

As I turned on the straightener, I heard Marcus start to cry. I went to bed and cradled him.

After finally falling asleep, I put him back on the bed. It was getting late and I wasn't gonna have enough time to do my hair, so all I got to do was spray some water in it and brush it.

I turned off the straighter and left the bathroom.

I picked Marcus up and took him with me.

Karl was playing with Savannah.

"Babe."

Liv took Savannah from him.

"What?" He asked.

"Can you put him in his carrier, I need to fix his bottles."

"Yeah," he said, taking Marcus from my arms.

Liv put Savannah in Marcus's play mat and followed me to the kitchen.

"Have you told him?" she asked.

"Olivia please keep your voice down. I don't want him to know before the game."

"Why not? It will get him excited. I mean what can go wrong? That they win the game." said Liv.

"Ok bitch. Watch it."I said.

When it came to Karl I got very defensive.

"Ugh. Whatever. Let's go before they run out of candy." she said.

"You do know the candy is for kids right?"

"So? You think a 9 and 10-month-old are gonna finish a whole jack o lantern of candy?" she asked.

"Let's go, girl," I said

Karl put the baby carrier on the stroller, Liv got Savannah ready, and we went downstairs.

Luke, our driver, was already there waiting for us.

"Luke watch these girls for me," said Karl as he put both Marcus and Savannah in the car.

While he put them in, I put the diaper bags in the trunk.

"You better save me some candy," said Karl as he kissed me.

"You and Olivia love candy too much. But listen, I need you to relax before the game. I don't want you stressed tonight. You guys need to win this one." I said as I gave him another kiss.

"Alright lover birds. We gotta go or the candy is gonna finish." said Olivia from the car.

I gave him a last kiss. "Alright, imma go, Willy Wonka over here needs her candy," I said.

Karl gave me a hug and went back to his hotel room.

I rolled down the window and called his name.
