"Mommy? What hasn't daddy come home?" I asked.
I was sitting on a chair at a red wood table in a pretty, little kitchen, while my mother cleaned dishes.
"Honey, Your only 6. You won't understand," She replied.
"Is he hurt?"
"In a way, I guess he is."
"What do you mean."
"Well, let's just say he's not in a good place right now."
"Why don't we help him?"
"Because I'm going to kill you before you even get to him."
I let out a yelp as my mother's beautiful red hair burned to black, and her blue eyes flashed to a endless hole. Her face and body changed to that of The Masters.
"Mommy! No mommy!" I screamed as I ran out of the beautiful log cabin and into the woods. My small legs carried me through the woods as branches and leaves fought to stop me.
I ran into a clearing and I was about to turn around to see if he was following but I tripped over a broken tree root.
My ankle twisted and I cried out on pain. It was surly broken.
I didn't even want to look at it. I was to scared at the sight I might see.
"How dare you run away from me!" The Master yelled as he ran towards me.
"No! Please! Leave me alone!" I screamed as he grabbed my blond locks.
"You worthless trash! If I spared you, who would want you? You are broken! A mistake! How dare you even ask to be spared! You deserve to die! You should be bowing at my feet, thanking me for not killing you!"
The bad part is, I believed him. I was a mistake. I was worthless. I was trash.
He was right. I should die.
Before I had another thought his hands came to my neck and twisted it to the right. I felt my breath leave my lungs as my heart slowly died off. I finally died. This torture is over.
"NO!!" I screamed as I jolted awake. I was back in the small basement filled with cages.
I quickly covered my mouth. Hopefully no one heard that. But I knew someone did.
I retreated into my mind. Thinking of my last thoughts. I knew that I was lucky to survive yesterday's torture but I think my luck will soon run out.
I can't believe I have let him ruin the only last wonderful memory I had. The others turned out at least a little better than this one. But now he has ruined the image of my mother. I wish I could have seen her again. My dreams have shown me that she was beautiful. I wish that I could see my father too. I didn't have many dreams of him but I knew that he was a very nice man.
I waited for the heavy foot steps on the stars for what seemed like hours, but they never came.
I felt relieved. Maybe I wouldn't get a beating today, maybe he'll skip over me today so I won't have to go to the star. That would be nice. That would be the best day of my life to be exact.
"Are you alright?" I was interrupted by Kayla.
I nodded and turned to the door of the cage. Not really wanting to talk. I was in to much pain.
"Their coming. My family. Their coming to save us." My head whipped over to see Kayla's eyes full of hope.
I just shook my head and turned away. That's when I heard it. Heavy steps glided down the stairs. Oh no. Did he hear me scream? Please, for the love of my mother, spare me a beating.
