"Hello?" I call.
My only answer was the wind blowing in the trees.
My eyes scan my surroundings to find myself in the middle of a forest.
Where am I?
I try to take a step but it's as if my feet are glued to the ground.
"Phenoix."
I looked all around me but there was no one to place the voice to.
"Phenoix. You must listen." There it goes again. It sounds like a women.
"Who are you." I try to ask.
"It doesn't matter who I am. I'm here to talk about you."
"What about me?"
"you need to just listen. Listen to the forest. It will guide you."
"What are you talking about? This forest?"
"One day you'll understand. You need to hurry though. It's coming."
"What's coming? Why won't you answer me?"
The next thing I know a wolf appears in front of me.
It was solid black except with a white star on his upper hind leg. His eyes were pure black. The sign of death. I would know those eyes from anywhere. They were The Masters.
It slowly moved tword me and, once again, I tried to run away. But my feet wouldn't move, they were still stuck to the ground.
Why do I always get stuck in life threatening situations?
The wolf pounced and my loud scream pierced the air. The wolf couldn't care less. His teeth ripped into my shoulder. Ripping it apart. His teeth then came to my face.
He let out a snarl and bit into my neck. My blood covered his fur as it was sprayed every where.
My screams filled the room as I jolted awake.
My body was caked in sweat. Tears stung my eyes.
It was just a dream. She wasn't real. He wasn't there.
It felt real to me though. I can still feel The Masters teeth dig into my shoulder. I reach my hand up, and sure enough, it was still there.
Why did these things haunt my dreams? What is wrong with me?
A door burst open and my head whipped up to see a man. Dezmond, I think his name was.. He looked shaken up.
That's when I finally realized that I was in an unfamiliar room. The walls were gray and the carpet was white. There was an oak desk to my right and a matching desk to my left. The bed I was in had an oak frame and black sheets. there were two other doors, off to my right which were closed.
Where am I? Was I captured again? Or sold? Was me getting saved just a dream? If it was, he's going to beat me for laying in his bed.
I quickly swung my legs over and stood. My feet threatened to fail, but I held them up. If I get beaten, I won't be able to stand at all.
"I'm sorry Master. I didn't know I was in your bed." I said while bowing my head in submission.
"Why are you apologizing? I'm the one that put you there." he replied.
I stayed quiet as I focused on standing.
"You look a little uneasy. Why don't you lay back down." It was more of a demand than a question.
I quickly obeyed and layed down in the bed. It was so soft. It felt like heaven compared to my old one. Well, considering my old one was a concentrate floor.
Dezmond walked closer and my heart beat increased the closer he got.
Once he was beside me, he lifted his hand up.
Oh no. He's going to punish me. My eyes closed tightly and I began to shake. I waited for the impact, but it never came.
"Its okay. I'm not going to hurt you. I promise." He spoke softly.
His reassurance didn't help me from shaking.
He placed his hand under my chin. I flinched as though his hand was fire. My body began to break down. I couldn't think. I could only feel pain as the Steel Star came into mind. I could feel the needles break my skin and the knives cut me open. I could feel the unknown liquids being injected into every part of my body. Worst of all, I could feel the electricity pulse through my vains.
My mind went into protective mode. I couldn't feel Dezmond's arms trying to shake me of my trance. I couldn't hear the door slam open. I couldn't see the two people who walked in.
My mind went blank as I fell towards the ground.
