*(Back on Ach-To, Rey walks up to Luke with her poncho as if she is ready to leave.)
Rey: Master, I have been here for days now, have you finally made your decision? Will you join me?
Luke: I believed I made myself nice and clear to you, I'm not leaving.
Rey: Master Skywalker we must go together! Two Jedi are better than one!
Luke: As I said before, my war is over. The legend of Luke Skywalker is dead.
Rey: Maybe that's what the galaxy needs right now. A legend.
Luke: The galaxy doesn't need me. Why would it? My legend ended in failure. And that is what I am now. A failure.
Rey: You shouldn't say stuff like that. You are no failure master. Yes you lost Ben, but you can't lose yourself.
Luke: No. I've felt a disturbance in the force. I believe that he has become more powerful than any Jedi. I know you've felt it too.
Rey: (Putting her head down) I won't give up.
Luke: It's not about just giving up; it's about why you chose not to give up. A failure like me could never do what you do.
Rey: Well I believe that failure is the worst teacher of them all. (She leaves the temple and enters the cockpit of the Falcon)
Chewbacca: HHRWWRRRRGGH!
Rey: No Chewie, Luke's not coming.
Chewbacca: WWWWWWGGHH!
Rey: No... not for nothing.
(Rey activates her holocommunicator and Speaks to Leia.)
Rey: I'm sorry my lady. But Luke refuses to come with me.
Leia: Well that surly doesn't make our situation any better!
Rey: What are you talking about? What situation?
Leia: The First Order! They found us! These are our coordinates! Please hurry- (Signal breaks up)
Rey: Leia? Leia!? (She turns to Chewbacca in her seat) We must go, now!
Chewbacca: RRRRRRRWWWWW!
Rey: To Geonosis!
(The Millennium Falcon lifts off the planet's surface and takes flight into orbit only for it to then to enter hyperspace. Luke looks out the doorway to see the Falcon go into hyperspace. He closes the doors to the temple and sits down in front of the white tree. He begins to meditate but only to be interrupted by R2-D2 whistling and rolling his way to Luke. Luke opens his eyes surprised to see his old friend.)
Luke: Artoo?
R2-D2: *Whistles*
Luke: Artoo! (He puts his hand on Artoo's dome) What are you doing here?
R2-D2: *Beep*boop*bop
Luke: Yes. (Artoo continues whistling) I know! (Still beeping) Hey sacred island watch the language!
R2-D2: *Whistles*
Luke: Old friend. (He smiles) If only I could make you understand. I'm not coming back. Nothing can make me change my mind.
(Artoo then turns his dome and activates his holoprojector revealing a recording of Leia when she was younger.)
Leia: Years ago you helped my father in the Clone Wars. Now he begs for you to help him in his struggle against the Empire. I regret that I am unable to-...
Luke: (To Artoo) That was a cheap move. (A tear goes down Luke's face)
Leia: This is our most desperate hour. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. (Recording stops)
Luke: I don't know Artoo, I don't think I'm ready to go out there again.
Yoda: Ready you must be young Skywalker.
(The force ghost of Grandmaster Yoda appears before Luke.)
Luke: Master Yoda, I'm sorry. But I can't be what she needs me to be!
Yoda: Hhmm, Skywalker. Still looking to the horizon. (He hits Luke's leg with his wooden cane) Never here, now, hmm? The need in front of your nose. (Taps Luke's head with his cane) Hmm?
Luke: I was weak, unwise.
Yoda: Lost Ben Solo, you did. Lose Rey, we must not.
Luke: I can't do it master! I'm not who I was before.
Yoda: Heeded my words not, did you? "Pass on what you have learned." Strength. Mastery. But weakness, folly, failure also. Yes failure most of all. Made a point of failure, Rey did. The greatest teacher, failure is. Luke, we are what they grow beyond. That is the true burden of all masters.
(Luke exists the temple wearing his dark Jedi robes and with his lightsaber attached to his belt with Artoo following. Him and Artoo make their way over to a cliff side and they both look down to see Luke's old X-wing starfighter within the depths of the deep sea. Luke slowly reaches out with the force with his mechanical hand and the X-wing slowly begins to rise. But Luke begins to struggle, he hasn't used the force this much since his duel with Kylo Ren (Now Darth Toorn) in the temple on Yavin 4. Suddenly, as if a huge weight had been lifted off him, he looks down to his right to see the force ghost of Yoda reaching out with the force to help Skywalker raise the X-wing. Luke faces forward, closes his eyes, and reaches out with the force. The starfighter rises from the water onto the island in front of Luke, Artoo and Yoda. But before he knows it, a flash of Leia and Ben flash into his mind. If he's going to help, he must hurry to save his sister. He climbs into the cockpit with Artoo in his position behind him. But before he takes off, he looks out the window to not only see the ghost of Master Yoda, but the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi smiling at him. Luke smiles back and takes off into space to save the Republic.)
Yoda: The force...be with you, it will be Skywalker.
