“It’s time for bed.” Padme said, standing up. “Santa comes tonight!” She squealed.

                “Who is Santa?” Ahsoka asked.

“He’s a guy in a big red suit that brings presents.” Ahsoka smiled. “He only comes when we are asleep.”

“Presents?” Ahsoka asked and Padme nodded. “Well then, let’s get to bed. I’m tired.” They laughed and each headed to separate rooms in the palace. Anakin snuck in Padme’s room, but Ahsoka and Kenobi had no clue.

In the morning when each woke up, they greeted one another on the balcony overlooking the Christmas tree. The ornaments were glowing and the lights were flickering white and gold. Under the tree were several presents, mountains stacked next to the fireplace and couches.

Ahsoka’s eyes were wide. She had never seen so many presents.

“Well, let’s go!” Padme said, racing down the stairs like a child.

Each of them had their fair share of presents. The best presents, however, were Anakin’s new cloak, Obi-Wan’s new cup for tea, Ahsoka’s new tube top, a bright gold color, and Padme’s charm bracelet. They all laughed, told their favorite Christmas memories and enjoyed pancakes and sausage, a traditional Christmas breakfast.

Ahsoka tapped her glass of milk with her knife. Once she had everyone’s attention, she held up the glass. Everyone else raised their glasses too. “I’ve never celebrated Christmas, but I’m glad that I did these past two days. I’ve never seen snow before either, but I’m glad I did that too.” That got a laugh.

“Thanks Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan for celebrating my first Christmas with me. It wouldn’t be the same without you.”

“Anything for a friend,” Padme noted. “Here’s to a Jedi’s first Christmas!” Padme laughed and they toasted.

Ahsoka smiled and her heart was warm, despite the bitter cold outside. She looked outside the window. It was snowing. The flakes were glistening a beautiful, pure white. Ahsoka was happy. She finally wasn’t thinking about a mission or passing a test. She was just happy.

It was a Jedi’s first, and amazing, Christmas.
