Zach had just finished visiting him and they all decide to go back to the hotel and work on the music with Liz. Eric reads the script out, "we're going to be singing Devil, Diamond Eyes, intermission, which we'll go over, Enemies, Monsters, I'll Follow You, Cut The Cord, 45 another intermission, which Brent should be back for, Get up, Second Chance, and Sound Of Madness. That sound good?" Liz nervously nods, "umm. Yeah." Zach pats her back, "don't worry we're all here. I'll take most of the vocals." Barry smiles, "do it for Brent. He'll be back near the end." The manager nods, "I'll notify the fans about what's happening so they won't be pissed. I'll let them know he'll show up near the end." Eric smirks, "you've got this princess. I'll pitch in on vocals as well. Now let's learn some music." They go through 'Devil' and 'Diamond Eyes' rather quickly. 'Enemies' goes through a bit slower and then 'Monsters' and 'Ill Follow You' goes quicker. They go through 'Cut The Cord' and '45' a few times and then go through the second intermission and the rest of the music pretty quickly as well, considering Liz has been to all the concerts of the tour and several in the past. Eric chuckles, "you went through that quickly. You know your stuff." Liz smiles, "I've seem and heard every concert so far on this tour and several concerts in the past. I've even seen y'all rehearse." Zach laughs, "good point. Me and Eric will take over the more rockish ones like 'Devil', 'Cut The Cord', 'Diamond Eyes', and 'Enemies'. You'll take over the more calmer ones like '45', 'I'll Follow You', and 'Monsters'. Well take over the heavy parts in 'Monster' though." The manager nods in agreement, "I think this is going to work. Brent will be back before 'Get Up' and we'll arrive earlier to set up and rehearse some more. Liz smiles, "I hope it does." They all hug her, "it will." Liz breaks away, "I'm gonna go get ready. Does Brent have that leather 'Attention Attention' jacket?" Zach turns to leave, "I'll go get it." Liz turns to Barry, "run me to a mall real quick please." Barry and Liz leave to the nearest mall and she drags him to 'Forever 21'. Barry chuckles, "so why are we here?" Liz smiles and drags him through the store, "I need to find a black top. A bralette to be exact." Barry raises an eyebrow, "a what?" Liz sighs, "it's like a cool looking spirts bra. You can wear it as a shirt. I'm figuring it can get me over with the fans to put on a better show. Liz stops him in front of a rack filled with bras and he turns red. Liz sorts through and finds a pretty black one that's even on sale. She smirks at it, "perfect." Liz buys it and then leaves the mall to return to the hotel. She goes to her and Barry's room and gets dressed in the jacket, the bralette, her special white doc martens, and black holed jeans. She comes out the bathroom and regroups with Barry who's staring at her. She smiles, "did I do good?" Barry nods slowly, "the fans are sure to love you." Liz giggles, "that's good. When are we leaving?" Barry looks back at his phone, "in about an hour." Liz walks towards the door, "I'm going to go down to the lobby and chill maybe pester Zach or Eric. I don't know yet." Barry gives a slight laugh, "okay. See you later." Liz goes down to Zach's room and he looks at her outfit and drool almost leaves his mouth. Liz bites her lip to keep from laughing, "like it?" Zach pulls her into his room, "I love it." Before she could speak again he pushes her against the wall and starts kissing her. He pulls back, "as much as I love to see you in this. I'm afraid I'm going to have to take it off." Liz pushes him back, "sorry. Brother's jacket and show in less than an hour." Zach frowns, "dammit." Liz leaves a lingering kiss and sits on his bed, "I figured the fans would like it so I dressed up." Zach smirks and gives a huffed laugh, "definitely the guy fans." Liz smiles, "then I did a good job." Zach pushes her onto her back and kisses her. Liz smirks, "can't you control yourself?" Zach shakes his head with a grin, "nope. Not at all. Wait till after the show." Liz smiles and gives him a kiss, "I'll be waiting." Brent calls her, "hey Liz. I'm gonna make it tonight. I'll be there at scheduled time. Second intermission before 'Get Up'." Liz grins with relief, "that's great. Did they ever find out what happened?" Brent sighs, "apparently I had a bit of heat exhaustion and passed out. I don't think I was drinking enough water." Both of them laugh and they finish their conversation and hang up. Liz goes back to kissing Zach and runs her hand down his side and rests them on his hips. Zach let's her lips go, "I love you." Liz kisses him again, "I love you too." They continue kissing and then break and Liz heads out of the lobby and gets in her phone until show time. When the others meet back up they head to the amphitheater and set up. Eric and Zach go over the music with Liz a few more times and then show time. Barry, Eric, and Zach start to talk to the fans. Zach starts first, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but Brent will be late tonight. He has been in the hospital since yesterday." Barry takes over, "he passed out from heat exhaustion and is almost fully recovered. So around 10:00 he'll be here and back." Eric starts the introduction for Liz, "the show will go on and we have the perfect person to fill in for the time being." Zach finishes it off, "his sister, Elizabeth." They all start cheering and Liz takes a deep breath and steps out. The crowd settles enough so she can start. She turns on her mic, "my brother is out as you know so thanks to the Shinedown team and especially Zach and Eric for helping me out with the vocals for the first songs. The crowd cheers and Liz smiles, "who's ready to get started!" The crows cheers and they do their introduction with 'Devil'. Zach and Eric do mainly the whole song and 'Diamond Eyes'. The next songs go well and so did first intermission. The second intermission comes quick and as Liz starts the lights go dim and when they go back to being bright Brent takes over. After the intermission the rest goes quick and they all start cleaning up. Brent hugs Liz tightly, "you did amazing as my stand in. Even stole my jacket." Liz giggles, "my bad." Zach comes up and taps him on the shoulder, "me and Liz need to talk to you for a sec." Liz thinks to herself, 'this is the moment I've been waiting for. It's finally here.'
