Three - Annoyances

The faint clicking of buttons and the occasional beeps of when photos were being deleted off of [Name]'s sister's camera were getting annoying. Scratch that, were getting even more annoying. The sounds the wretched camera made were infuriating. Especially when you were to be exposed to 2 and a half hours of said noise.
You see, little 12 year old [Name] was forced to go on a road trip to Niagara Falls along with her immediate as well as her extended family. For a kid that was only half way through their emo phase and just barely starting puberty, this would be considered the closest thing to hell for the living.
Little [Name] slumped even lower in her seat, definitely stretching the default abilities of her weak flesh prison. Although she wanted to snap at her sister more than anything she just kept on reading her book. It was probably the only non-annoying thing in her life currently. Even when her parents said to 'put it down' because 'it's going to hurt your eyes' and all that jazz, she wouldn't. For it was her only tolerable companion.
As for the book, there was nothing even remotely special about it. Just another fantastical adventure. A dime in a dozen. Literally didn't even make up for the five dollars that her sister spent on them. But because everything else was even worse, [Name] persevered. Maybe there would be a part she would like eventually!' 'Maybe the climax is actually further in the book and not that sad excuse of a passage that she already read!'
Clearly optimism wasn't paying off.
Nearing the last pages [Name] got more and more desperate. 'Maybe it would have a good plot twist?' 'Perhaps they wouldn't actually put the main guy with the cliche loser girl?' 'Perhaps my ships will actually sail??'
And of course, as all ripped off cliche books go, she finished the last page and fumed silently.
'Dammit' -she reached up to fix her hair- 'why is everyone so disappointing?'
It was a genuine question of course. But really [Name]? You chose the book.
