Chapter 6

Y/n POV
I walked over to the field of trailers and performers when all of a sudden someone stopped in front of me;
Hey beautiful I'm Jerome the voice said to me as he studied me up back upwards
I-uh I stammered I didn't know what to do how do you respond to that????!!!!
I looked up and saw a boy about my age with fiery red hair pale skin a couple freckles scattered about his face
Uh hey? I said looking into his eyes
Are you trying to get into the show? He asked looking me up and down and then looking around for who knows what
Oh uhm yes, oh! Here I'll help he said and grabbed my hand he quickly walked over to where I saw everyone in this area heading to.
I have to go but enjoy the show, maybe I'll see you after? YES! I excitedly answered I-uh I mean he chuckled
Meet me right here after the show he purred and ducked inside without another word
Did that just happen!??? I shook my head and sighed and went inside and quickly saw a guy put down his popcorn and drink I walked by him swiftly and took his food and found a seat and sat down close to the front so I could see Jerome again.
The lights dimmed and the room was completely in darkness until one bright light went onto this tall guy
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME TO THE GREAT AND WONDERFUL CIRCUS!
The guy announced
NOW EnJoY the SHOWWWW he said and stepped aside into the darkness and new people stepped into the light.
Time skip
The show went on and I was actually enjoying every minuet of it the tricks the allusions the views the lights just the overall feeling of everything, then as I stood up to fix my dress I looked up and there he was
Jerome, in a red and white costume? Uniform? I don't know but he was attractive as HELL
I looked at him as he looked into the audience as he skimmed around the crowd our eyes met I blushed not taking my eyes off of him he tilted a little and had an enormous smile on his face
Wait is he BLUSHING?
LADIES AND GEntLeMEN he roared I AM JEROME VAlEsKa THE GREAT! I sat down and watched him throughout his entire act not wanting to blink and him be gone. As he finished his act I clapped as loudly as a thousand lions as he walked off stage I  gave him a wink and took another clump of popcorn and popped it in my mouth as I watched the rest of the show, not as intently as I watched Jerome though god why was I so crazy about this boy
Maybe I am just crazy
After the show I got up and made sure I had everything and made my way to the back way where Jerome said to meet.
I waited outside the back flap? Door thingy for about 5-10 minuets
Hey gorgeous I turned around quickly and saw the red headed boy Hey! I gleamed he gave me cheeky smile and looked around
Jeromes POV
My GOD she was beautiful
Sorry it took me so long I apologized to her
Oh it's no problem really she smiled, hey so do you want to hang out? I asked looking down at her she's kinda short but cutely short ya know?
Sure let me just message my friend okay! Oh my god why am I so giddy around her?!?
Okay! She said putting her phone in her bag and looking to me for the next move great let's go I looked to her eyes and grabbed her hand and lightly lead her to quiet park a couple minuets away from the back of the circus. Sooooo I never got your name? I said
She walked over the swings and sat down and started to lightly swing
Y/n my name is y/n that's a beautiful name I said wandering over to where she sat and I sat beside her as well digging my feet into the dirt.
Y/n POV
He took me to a park and we started talking he complemented me whenever he could and it was so cute but I'm not easy if that's what he's thinking I hope not
We talked for what felt like forever sharing past experiences likes dislikes friends interests just enjoying every moment spent together.
So you've never said anything about your family he said placing his hand in mine as we looked into the night stars
I-uh actually am an orphan I said sheepishly
OH he fell off the swing and did a summersault
Are you OkaY? I'm sorry I didn't- it's okay I'm not hurt about it a-are you sure he stammered getting up and sitting back down on the swing
Now that I think about it I said facing towards him again you haven't said anything about your family life I interrogated him I have a mother he said you don't sound to happy about that I said he grunted I'm not, if I'm being honest she's not exactly mother material oh? I pressed on he lifted his sleeve shirt and I saw a dark bruise OH MY GOD I screeched DiD shE do thAt to YOU?!?! huh yeah that's nothing he said completely fine about like it was NOTHING! J-Jerome t-that's not o-okay I said concerned as hell I looked at him like a helpless puppy it's fine! He said and pulled his sleeve down and hugged me I teared up a bit this poor   Boy. I shivered after he let go of me and wrapped my arms around myself for warmth
Here he said handing me his sweater thank you I said taking it and putting it on I smiled at him and held his hand, we continued talking throughout the night
Wait is that the sun? I asked seeing the sun slowly rising out from the horizon
oh shit yeah he said yawing into his arm wanna go watch it? I asked looking to him than a hill that would be perfect yea I got up and raced him to the hill once I reached the top I let my arms loose and let the fresh morning breeze blow threw my hair. Jerome caught up to me and from the corner or my eye I see him looking at me I blush and turn towards him I grab his hand and pull him to the ground laughing; from there we watched the sun rise upon us and sat there enjoying the time left that we had.
I should probably get going I said as we walked back to the circus oh ok if you have to be said sadly I'll write you I fb that makes anything better I said looking up at him please do it will you bet I will seriously y/n ha okay then please be safe I said slowly letting go of his hand I'll.... try I go back to him and give him a kiss on his cheek and quickly walk away heading back to Gotham and back to my apartment and to Selina. 
Jeromes POV
She kissed me............. YES!!!
