Turing into a cat

Chapter 5 - Captain Bonnie

Graces POV: When I think Im far enough ahead I look back and he's gone, good I thought and I smiled to myself.I didn't know cats could be so rude and scary.

I'm nearly at the deli and I see the shadow of a cat, it must be Captain Bonnie.
I walk up to this shadow to see it's not Captain Bonnie but this cat that is going crazy, talking to itself.
"What are you looking at?" The crazy cat says. Just when a polite cat walks up and cheerfully says "Nice to meet chu love, I'm Captain Bonnie!" Giving him a smile I start to walk off with him and we jump up on a car roof.

"Don't go wondering off near him will ya?, he's a stray who's been hit by a car and gone all wonky, poor guy." He says shaking his head.

"So what's going on Captain Bonnie, why am I a cat?" But Captain Bonnie just smiles and nudges his head as if to say "come on". So I follow him and we walk up to a group of cats in an alley way. They look dangerous but I trust Captain Bonnie so I continue going the same pace as him.

All the cats are cheerfully greeting us, cats nodding their heads and purring.Some are walking towards us.
"Good day Captain Bonnie, who's this?" Said one and cats nodding their heads.

Captain Bonnie made a warm welcome speech by saying " Hi all (and they all put their paws up) hope your all having a wonderful day or should I say night, we have a very special person come today to help us!" I saw a face popping out from the corner of a dumpster but when I looked at them they disappeared, weird.

Captain Bonnie said I can have a poke around so that's what I'm doing right now, I'm just looking around this alley way. I turned right then straight up but as I was turning the next corner I walked right into this other cat turning the opposite direction.

Oof, I had fallen and was now laying on the cold concrete.
"O my gosh, I'm so sorry" I say standing up but when I stand I see this guy about the same age as me.
"Nah don't worry about it" he says smiling, "I'm Jake it's nice to meet you, I haven't seen you around here where are you from?" I don't know what to say because I'm a human but I don't want to freak him out.

"Ooh your that cat Captain Bonnie was talking about, the human, don't worry I'm Captain Bonnie's son so we planned that together, I always see you walking down the street." Jake explains.

"Well in that fact I'm Grace, nice to meet you but what am I doing here?" I say confused. But before Jake can explain to me this cat comes up to us I'm shocked its that cat again.
"You ran away from me before" The cat snickers at me, This cat is very sneaky. I look behind me and turn back to see a cat claw scratching at my face. Ouch!

Just before the cat can strike again Jake jumps up on him and attacks.
"Leave her alone" Jake yells.
"Well what are you going to do about it, sticking up for your little girlfriend" he laughs
Me and Jake look at each other.
"We're... Not, we're just friends" I say quietly.

"Leave now!" Jake booms again and trots off, I follow.
"Thanks I say, I could have been really hurt." I say puffing out of breath.
"It's good, just you should get home now it's turning morning, come back tomorrow" He says not looking at me.
