"Take care Miss Elizabeth," Bob bade goodbye, "Your ride is waiting for you outside."
"I will," I smiled back and pulled my luggage behind.
The morning was cold by the time I stepped out of the house. The air was light and misty after all that rain.
Looks like one lovely morning.
There was an old looking vintage type automobile on the driveway. It was sleek black and had a glossy finish on top. A silver miniture figurine of ao horse that looked like it was gallopping was place in the center of the edge of the hood and two small U.K. flags on both ends; looked like something the Roberts would own.
A man wearing a black trench coat and white gloves stepped down and offered to put my luggage in the back trunk.
I hopped in the car and waved goodbye to Bob and my mother. Although it seemed my mother cared less that I was leaving.
The ride to his house was quite long. We've gone over 2 bridges and past 1 town and still haven't reached his place.
I stared outside the window looking at the people walking by, farmers planting their crops, and the birds flying free in the air; haven't been outside in a while.
"Are we nearly there yet?" I asked the man who was driving me.
"We're almost there. Just past those trees,"
I sighed and leaned against the glass window; looking around outside.
He turned around the corner and I saw the most humongous house I've ever seen. Tall pointed pillars supported the large burberry beige walls.
We entered through a very tall gate; it was heavily guarded by soldiers and their white steeds.
A huge garden met us up front and a fountain in the middle of it all just left me in awe.
The sun reached its peak; it was scorching hot. The flower petals reflected the light and into my eyes.
I squinted and rubbed my eyes while the car swerved around the fountain and we reached the end of some sort of marble stairs with a red carpet in the middle leading to a huge brown door where Josh and his parents stood waiting for me.
Another man who was wearing an excat same outfit as the one who drove me all the way opened the door. I grinned and stepped on the rocky pavement.
Well, judging from the looks of it. The garden, the house, the gates, the guarded house with a garden and gates.
He lived in a castle. Huh, who knew.
"M'lady," Josh said bowing, yet he still had the gut feeling that I was still mad at him and gave a worrying look.
I gave a cold stare and turned to his parents. I bobbed a curtsy at them and the doors opened showing a hallway filled with crystal chandeliers.
"Make yourself at home," his mother said with a smile.
"I'll bring you to the guest room then," Josh said grabbing my luggage.
"I, can handle that," I said snatching it away from him.
He walked me down the hall and into a quiet room with a queen sized bed, an empty closet, and a bathroom. There was even a small bookshelf beside the bed.
I placed my luggage in the closet and Josh sat on the bed.
"You still mad about yesterday?"
I didn't respond to his question. Ofcourse I was mad. He nearly got me kicked out of the house!
