Elijah's POV
Someone taps my shoulder. I look up then see Denis.
"You know y/n is crying her eyes out right now?" He asked. I look down at my feet.
"She said you broke up with her, because she hugged me. Dude we're friends, friends hug each other," he says annoyed. "The day I was at her house I folder her I still you," "You know what she said to me?" He asked stepping in front of me. I shake my head. "She said, you know I'm with Elijah. She was being a good girlfriend!" He shook his head in disbelief.
"I didn't know," I said tearing up. "Of course you didn't, you should think before you do things," he says. "I need to talk to her, where is she?" I ask. He nods. "Where?!" I in a hurry. "In the library, I don't think she want to talk to you," he said walking away. "Thanks!" I yell.
I was walking to the library. I see her. Shes crying. "Y/n.."i say softly. She look up, then looks back down. "I wasn't thinking, I'm sorry," I say.
Y/n's POV
"Y/n.." I hear I familiar voice over my tears. I look up and see Elijah. I look back down. "I wasn't thinking, I'm sorry," he says. I wipe my tears. He comes and sits next to be. I look at him. He looks at me. We stare at each other. We're like this for a while. He breaks the silence. "I'm so sorry," he said. I'm silent. He lifts my chin with his hand. "Please forgive me," he says softly. I kiss his cheek and get up. I leave the room, him surprised.
I go to my locker. When I put in my combination a piece of paper falls out. It has writing on it. It says mason.
I think to myself.
The most popular guy didn't just put a note in my locker. Did he, on purpose?
When I open the note it says my name. My cheeks heat up.
Meet me in the gym, y/n. After school. -mason

I'm walking to the gym, heart racing. I haven't heard from Elijah since earlier. When I get to the gym, I see him. He's leaning against the wall on his phone. "H-hey.."I say quietly. He turns around. He looks at me. "Y/n, right?" He asks. Omg, he just said my name. I breath out and nod. "I saw you crying, and I wanted to make sure you were you.., but then Elijah walked up to you. So I didn't get a chance to say anything," he rubs the back of his head while talking. "I'm okay, thank you for making sure I'm okay. That's very sweet," I smile. "Alright then, see you around y/n" he winks and walks away. I exit out the school. I see my best friend, Zoe. She's talking to Elijah. My and Elijah make eye contact. I sigh. I walk over to the concrete.
While walking home I see one of Mason's friends, Cole, I think. Their always hanging out. When he sees me he waves. Omg, another cute guy. In confusion, I wave at him. He walks up to me, "are you okay?" He asks. I nod. "You didn't seem fine, how about we can talk about it?" Cole asks. "Uh, sure," I look down.
Cole makes his way to his house, me following. When we get in his house, we take a seat on his couch. "So, tell me, what happened?" I go silent. "Elijah, my ex- he broke up with me because I hugged his friend. We were all friends, and he said were done.." I say quietly. I pull out my phone and show him the texts. He looks away. "He's not right for you," he says. We both go silent. "New topic!" "Tell me, what do you like?" He asks. "I really like science," I say. "That's cute, nerd" he laughs. My cheeks heat up. "So my nickname is nerd?" I ask. "I guess so" he laughs.
We ended up hanging out all night long. He's really nice and funny. He listens to me. Unlike my "best friend". I really enjoy his company. He even took me to a place he's never shown anyone, in the words. He called it our place.
