A lot has happened in the past few days. Number one: Christi is currently finding the portal! Yay! Also, we got a jug of water. Not much action around here. But Christi did look a little faded, hmm. Number two: Kase told me about the portal, and I may or may not have kind of, maybe, FREAKED OUT! I mean, how would you feel? I could see my best friend, and now we are closer to escaping than ever! My favorite thing that has happened though was when Christi said:

"Kase my boy, how's life?" My eyes had to strain not to pop from my head from laughing in my mind so much! I tried to keep it from Christi because she can get easily offended sometimes.

"Hey, 'Brina, WAKE UP!" Kase practically shouts into my ear.

"Um, don't know if you know this already, but... I WAS ALREADY AWAKE!" I shout back. I quickly cover my mouth. We don't know if our cell is soundproof or not, but I take precautions. A little, at least. Okay, I try. I heave myself up out of the 'comfortable' cot and do my morning routine as of like 5 years ago.

When I was younger, my mom went through a yoga phase. Every morning, she would rouse me from my blissful slumber, and get the yoga mats out. We would stretch, and bend for about an hour. Well, before I would usually excuse myself to go get a drink, and never return. Yes, I know it was kind of rude, but try bending in places that you thought not possible for an hour! Painful... I shudder at the mere thought.

I now actually sort of enjoy yoga, so I like to occasionally get up and do a couple of poses. Sadly, I have no mat, so I have to do it on my mattress. I rip the sheets off (they make me slip), then situate myself. My favorite pose is Kapotasana, but it is extremely hard to do. You have to go on your knees and bend all the way back so that you can grab your ankles, and place your head on the floor. Now, I have literally spent my entire yoga life trying to do this after I learned about it. No luck. Although I guess I haven't done yoga in like...a year or so. I'm just doing it now because I'm bored I guess.

"Whatcha doing?" Kase inquires, running a hand through his messed up, bronze hair.

"Yoga!" I respond happily. He raises one eyebrow quizzically.

"Oh, come on! Have you never heard of yoga?" I ask exasperated.

"No, but should I?" he asks.

"Uh, YES!" I tell him.

"How long have you been down here anyway?" I exclaim in inquisitiveness.

"Umm, let me count," he says, using his fingers. "About, thirteen years?"

"What?!?! How old are you?" I inquire. My hand flies up to my mouth. "I'm so sorry! That was very rude of me," I mutter abashed.

"Hey, that's okay," he tells me, trying to comfort me. I give him a small smile.

"I'm 15," he blurts out. I glance at him, surprised. He shrugs, and this time, I am the one doing the comforting.

"It must be pretty hard being down here, but, at least we have each other, right?" He nods, looking relieved.

"So, what fun and exciting thing are we doing today?" I inquire, clapping my hands together. I have never been one for silence.

"Hmm, how about we go scuba diving?" Kase suggests, playing along.

"Sounds like fun!" I laugh.

"Yeah! I can't wait!" Kase grins. Soon, we are pretending to be divers, that fall prey to a shark, or that we can ride a dolphin. It is all fun and games, until I fall off Kase's shoulders, and twist my ankle.

"Oow!" I yelp, clutching my foot. Kase quickly rushes over and apologizes profusely.

"I am so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen," he rants. "I was just trying to bounce a little and—"

"Kase, it's fine. It isn't your fault, and my ankle doesn't even seem that bad. I'll be fine," I interrupt.

"You sure? I could help you find something to help... or something," he stutters.

"Nah, I'll be okay," I reassure him.

"So, do you have any siblings?" Kase asks me.

"Actually, yes! I have a brother; his name is Jago." I tell him. "Do you?" He shakes his head.

"As far as I know, I'm an only child!" he states proudly. "Could you tell me more about Jago?"

"Um, sure! Well, let's see... he really likes to run, his favorite animal is a saber-toothed tiger, and he loves Legos," I explain.

"Sounds like an awesome dude!" Kase exclaims. I roll my eyes at his language.

"What?" he asks indignantly, noticing my eye roll.

"Nothing..." I smile to myself. I wonder when Christi will come back. Well, I suppose she has school, but still... anyway, I'm hungry.

"Hey, Kase, when do you think they'll bring food?" I question, newfound hunger gnawing at my insides.

"I honestly have no idea," he says, sounding apologetic. I shrug.

"That's okay."

It has been like, forever and we still haven't gotten food. My stomach sounds like a whale, bear, and a wolf all at the same time. In other words, it is very loud and hungry. I'm starting to think that they forgot us! Or me, since technically, Kase isn't supposed to be here. I'm glad he's here though. He makes this whole experience a lot easier.

Clomp, clomp, clomp. Someone is coming!

"Hide Kase!" I hiss, ushering him under the cot, which by the way, is not very tall. I hurriedly settle myself on the cot and pretend to be bored. A burly arm pushes the door open and reveals another guard. His hair is hidden under his hat, but his eyes are a dark grey. I shudder, not wanting to get on this guy's bad side. My eyes longingly drift to the tray of food that he is holding. This one isn't wearing a nametag. Shucks. This time, I think I will just take the food without talking.

Wordlessly, No Name hands me the tray, and I nod my thanks tersely. He doesn't return the gesture (how rude!) but merely walks out of the cell, slamming the door shut behind him. Good riddance, I say!

I help Kase out from under the bed, and we examine the tray together.

"Hmm, I think that is a... moldy sponge!" Kase muses, pointing at what I think is the bread.

"Well, I think that this is a block of concrete!" I exclaim, using my finger to show him the 'block of concrete.' I assume it is actually supposed to be cheese. I honestly have no idea whatsoever.

Eventually, we have picked off all the mold and have just finished consuming what little there is left. It's not a perfect day, not even close. But it will have to do.
