Ellie's P.O.V

The morning light gleaming in through the windows is what woke me up the next morning. I sat up and rubbed my eyes like usual, thinking I was all cozy in my room when I quickly realized I still was in the nightmare that I couldn't pinch myself awake from. I was still in Mason's room, my ankle locked onto the bed frame to keep me in place.

Since Mason wasn't here yet to check on me I decided that now might be the best time to take a look around. Staring intensely at the door I was afraid that the second I would move, Mason would be there. But I took a deep breath and moved anyway, very slowly and carefully slinking out of bed to avoid making any kind of noise.

The chain I was attached to was short so I had very limited space to move around. Mason's bed frame was entirely metal so there was no way I could cut myself out, the frame was even one solid piece so freeing myself by taking it apart wasn't possible either. It was also too heavy for me to move but if there was a chance I could I don't think it would have been easy without Mason noticing.

Anything around me that was within reach had been removed. The inside of his nightstand was completely empty, nothing under his bed, no shelves that I could reach even with standing on his bed, not even his posters pinned up with the thumb tacks were on the walls around my space. Also the food and water he had brought me yesterday required no utensils and were served in plastic dishes. It was like he knew that I would be stuck here so he eliminated any chance of me escaping.

With nothing left I stood up on the floor, pacing around with what little space I had. I nibbled on my thumbnail as I tried my hardest to stay calm, it was hard to do that though when my world was still crashing around me. The feeling of hopelessness and fear that I would never be allowed to leave this place sent my body trembling. I wanted nothing more then to rip my hair out and scream at the top of my lungs, but what stopped me from doing that was the thoughts swimming around my mind about what he would do to me if I didn't follow his rules.

When the door squeaked open I whipped around to see Mason poking his head in. He was in new clothes, doing his routinely check up on me. He smiled that boyish grin at me once he saw that I was awake.

"Hey princess, did you sleep well?" He said in a sweet tone like I was just sleeping over at his house and not chained to his bed.

His smile dropped as soon as he saw my shaking figure, glossy eyes, and terrified expression. Without a second thought he rushed towards me to cradle my cheeks in between his hands. His thumbs rubbed them softly in circles as his eyes searched mine to find a reason why I was acting like this.

"Ellie." He cooed gently, "What's wrong? What happened?"

My hands clutched at his shirt, tugging down the fabric repeatedly while the tears finally seeped from my eyes, "Mason please! Let me go!"

His eyes went from concerned to narrowing while his hands tightened their hold on my face slightly, "You should already know this, you are staying with me from now on."

"Please! Please Mason!" I continued to cry and tug at him.

Out of pure emotion I let go of his shirt in attempt to swing at him. My hands desperately wanted to push him away so I couldn't feel his dreadful touch I was still so attached to. Before I had the chance to do anything Mason was quick to grab my wrists and pin me down to the carpet. He seemed annoyed with my actions as he stared down from above me. I squirmed a little bit but it wasn't enough to break out of his hold.

He sighed from above me and gazed down into my eyes, "That's not behaving Ellie. You do want to be let out of the chain, right?"

I nodded frantically.
