 Meanwhile...

Kol:

I light a cigarette and talk my phone up from my pocket and calls Zac.

''What the hell is going on, Zac?! Why is my daughter not in fucking England anymore?!''

I'm furious. Zac had no fucking right to take Amara out of England and bring her here, Zac knew why I was going here, and it could take a few weeks before I would be back. But the thing Zac didn't know about was that I knew Martina, and I don't want him to know because then the real drama will begin. It's not because I don't wish to have Amara around me, because I do, but it also means that I have to tell Martina about Amara before she finds out on her own.

''Fine, I will meet you at the British bar they have down in town. Give me an hour, and then I want a damn good explanation from you. '' I say and hang up the phone.

I was about to lay my phone back into my pocket when Davina calls, and I already know what she's going to say. I can't bear to hear what a terrible man and father I am. Every damn time I'm out of town, that's the call she's giving me. But I'm curious though, has Davina even noticed that Zac and Amara left? Probably not.

''Want to you want, Davina?''

''Try to sound just a little excited to hear from your wife, Kol. ''

''I could if I was happy to hear from you. Now, what do you want?''

''When are you coming back home?''

''I'm not sure, Davina. ''

''You never know a damn shit, Kol.''

''Are the more shit you want to throw at me while we are at it? Because I'm busy, and I have to be somewhere.''

''If just you could put our daughter first for once, your arrogant asshole.''

''Are you fucking kidding me right now, Davina?! Everything I have done for years, I have done because of Amara! At least I know our daughter is, and I actually care about her!''

''What is that supposed to mean? Amara is asleep in her room.''

''No, Davina, she's here with me! We will discuss this when Amara and I are home.''

''Did you get Zac to take her out of the country without my acceptance?! I'm going to sue you, Kol!''

''Here's the thing, babe, you can't sue your husband for taking our daughter out of the county when it's you who tried to kill Amara when she was a baby. It's you who never cared for Amara, and I swear to god, if you sue me, it will get worst for yourself. Do we understand each other?''

Right after I finished my sentence, Davina slammed the phone on, and all I could hear now was the beep tone over and over again. And then, of course, the wind because a storm was coming our way. It will take me ten minutes to drive to the bar I have to meet Zac at, and it gives me time to talk with Amara and put her to sleep before I leave. I take a few sips of my cigarette and throw it over the balcony, and go inside.
