"Your family and ours, we have history, you see, long ago, Eduard Blossom, great-great-grandpa Blossom, the first demon to ever exist. Eduard Blossom had his best friend, Raymond Topaz, the very first angel. Both of them were considered freaks since they were the first of their kind, so they often stuck together." Jason started, as he spoke, he lead them to a spot not that far away.
" As time went on they got stuck by each other's side. Eduard got married and had a beautiful daughter, Isabella Blossom. Meanwhile, Raymond as well got married and had his firstborn son, Alejandro. Like their fathers, they became best friends, though as time went on, they started to develop a feeling for one another." Jacobe continued as his brother stopped.
" So they got together, at first they were in that honeymoon phase, all happy with each other. But then, one day, while Isabella was talking to Alejandro's younger brother, Miguel, Alejandro, jealous as ever, dragged Isabella away and started hitting her. Although that was not all, it was said that it came to the point that he would rape her and force her to do such horrible things." Jason the continued.
"Until one day, Alejandro caught Isabella talking to a woman, smiling at her. So Alejandro did what he does best, in the beginning, it was only a few punches, but then it got worst as Isabella tried standing up for herself for the first time, Alejandro was furious at this. With his head clouded with jealousy and rage, he grabbed a knife and drove it into Isabella, it was only meant to be a slight wound, but Alejandro's judgment was clouded. When he had finally realized what he had done, he fled." Jacobe narrated, a slight shiver running up his spine.
" Nobody ever saw him again. What was more shocking was that neither Isabella was found, there was blood on the floor when police and Eduardo found it, but nobody. They say that Alejandro hid it." Jason said as he finished the story, they then looked up and noticed that they were here at their destination. It was a tree house that they build with their father when they were little.
Toni was just staring at the ground with a grim expression on her face, trying to put pieces together. When she was little, her family would always talk about Alejandro so highly, as if he was a king.
"That's impossible. My great-great-grandpapi always said that Alejandro loved Isabella, that they always went out together" Toni defended stubbornly.
"Well, that's the story our great-great-granddad always told us." Jacobe said as he climbed up the tree house, soon Toni followed.
"Then something clearly doesn't add up" Jason pointed out as his brows were scrunched his brows, trying to make a connection.
"Why don't you tell us your family's side of the story" Jacobe offered.
"Great-great-grandpapi would always talk about how in love great-grandpapi Alejandro was it Isabella. He would tell us about how sweet they were, even when they got married, and how great-grandpapi Alejandro would always come home from work with gifts for Isabella." Toni said, remembering all those times her great-great-grandpapi would tell stories to her.
"Alright here's what we're gonna do. Toni, you search for clues, anything that'll help out so that we can connect all this shit together. Jacobe and I will do the same" Jason said as a plan formulated in his head.
The three of them just sat there, wondering how it all adds up. How could the two stories be so different from one another? How do they interconnect with one another? And the hardest question, Who's story was true?
