Eyes

If the glass was a colour then I have been staring at a mirror, one that swirls with unmatched light and dimmed the sun.

How can one look as green as moss but dance in the ocean like foam? Where the tides sweep at the weeds unaware at a raging storm above.

Describe blue; blue is the sea a calm warrior but a raging lover, blue is the sky where birds of all kind can fly just by a hint from the wind. Blue is the mocking way that differs night and day.

Green droplets float around the surface like green fungus spotted on trees. They attract the eyes of the lost and educate those wishing to learn about its mysterious nature.

Does he melt like his brown eyes when you speak.... a warmth that spreads through the fingers of the puppeteer, for you know you control the colour that shines through?

You, his glorified lover who has claimed the loveless, make his eyes clear with passion when you bite your lips in anticipation. They shine with adoration for a scheming queen, they light the ground you step on so you never fall, leaving him behind stomping with the dark.

Your words have the power to determine when the storm in his eyes gain a higher tide, for with a snap you make him hate me--one that has been with him before you climbed down your scorching existence. When you did not notice us unworthy of your gaze, now you swim in his tender waves.

It's not a lie when I exclaim at his eyes gaining blue at the touch of your fingers on his arm. I rush aside as you pass through and his gentle warrior soul fades away from my sight, now he is a blind man with a sword at his throat, a weapon we call love. You make fun of the foolish passion he has for you.

I gladly say I knew him when he was lost yet he looks through me as if I am mist, he sees you who seeks to test his worth, hence he abandons me who values his weakest form. Journey with the lost, my beloved, I await to be your final destination.

His eyes have taught me how to handle the cruel smiles and painful laughter he gave me. But I've learnt to appreciate the colours that spout from every real emotion you make me feel. His eyes draw me in and push me away when I come too close, like a moth to a flame I know I'll keep coming back. To his eyes of betrayal.
