BRIT's reunion party wasn't a newly announced event, but y/n had been so busy that the thing had totally slipped out of her mind until Tom brought it up on the group chat only hours before the party. So she got up from her relaxing spot on the sofa and prepared the shower to start getting ready even though all she wanted was to stay inside and relax, but a little party hurt nobody, right?

With little enthusiasm y/n got ready, going back to school grounds for said reunion was a challenge, there was this odd feeling inside her stomach that the girl could only identify as regret as soon as she and the boys entered the place. The faces she saw there were the same ones once looked down at her and ridiculed her for what a stupid guy had said, but with Harrison's hand holding hers she was able to put the feeling on the back of her mind as the couple of people that were nice to her even after Rae spread those horrible rumours about her greeted them with huge smiles and tight hugs.

A few drinks in y/n had relaxed, even more, laughing and joking around with her former schoolmates, dancing around with Harrison and Tom overall having a good time despite her little desire to be there in the beginning. "I'm gonna go get us a drink, yeah?" Harrison half-shouted in her ear and y/n nodded her head hopping on the stool by the tall table to wait for him to get back. Her eyes scanned the whole room, everyone in their own groups clearly judging the ones that minded their own business. Nothing has changed, she thought as she occupied herself in her phone instead of the people around her.

"Y/n l/n, shouldn't you be at the theatre with your overrated company?" Someone sneered beside her, she recognised the voice above the music and the chatter and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the sound of it.

"No, actually. We're done rehearsals and we're ready to open." She smiled proudly, not wanting to get trapped in his game.

"Glad you found your lead." Rae spat bitterly, there was no hint of sincerity in his words and she felt the need to just leave, but when he was about to jump off the stool Rae's hazel eyes looked over her shoulder then he laughed maliciously. "Osterfield! You never quit don't you?" Rae greeted him with the fakest smile and y/n furrowed her brows at him then turned to her side where Harrison was now standing with two beers in his hands.

"Here you go, love." Harrison put the beer down in front of her, completely ignoring Rae as he sipped from his own cup. She caught on to what he was doing and she giggled at how Harrison had decided to deal with the unwanted guest on their table. "We took a picture back there, you missed it." He turned his back on Rae and pointed to the back of the room where there was a photobooth.

"Aw, we should go take one then." She jumped off the stool and grabbed her beer, tugging at Harrison's hand. The blonde intertwined their fingers together as they made their way to the booth leaving Rae behind with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"What did he say this time?" Harrison asked when they finished taking the pictures.

"Hm, nothing really. You didn't give him the chance." The girl shrugged as she showed him the photo of them in the cardboard frame.

"That's nicer than the one I took with the boys." He chuckled, "I look upset and in this one, I look happy." He pointed out.

"That's 'cause you're with me." Y/n beamed at him and he couldn't help but wrap his arm around her shoulders, bringing her closer to him and placing a kiss on her forehead.

"That might be why, yeah." He mumbled against her hair as she wrapped her free arm around him and began to sway side to side. Rae had resorted to staring at them with the harshest glare he could muster but neither y/n nor Harrison really noticed, the pair was too wrapped up in having a good time.
