Despite that awful night Harrison had managed to make it better, he had the idea of spending Saturday helping y/n search for a dress to wear to Will's wedding, both taking turns on the girl's laptop to scavenge different websites for something that fitted Will's and Matt's theme of ethereal fairy sort of world.
Between beers, takeaway food, dress hunting and some Blue Planet as background noise the pair spent their time until it was dark outside, the room only illuminated by the TV and the y/n's laptop now sitting on the coffee table, giving themselves a break from the infinite amount of garments they had gone through and just weren't what she was looking for. "I should go home." Harrison sighed, his hand massaging the girl's scalp as her head laid on his stomach. Both slouched on the sofa with their full attention on Saturday Night Takeaway.
"Hmm?" She hummed sleepily, his fingers running through her hair and massaging her scalp had rapidly lulled her to a not so deep slumber, only opening her eyes when she heard Harrison's voice above the TV presenters' cheers. She rolled onto her back then slightly on her other side to be able to look at him, the boy's precious smile greeted her as soon as her tired eyes locked on his face smiling back at him ever so sleepily.
"Said I'm gonna head out. I've outstayed my welcome." He brushed y/n's hair out of her face then he cupped her cheek lovingly.
"I know, can't fucking stand you anymore." The girl joked, with the smile lingering on the corners of her lips. Her fingertips tracing the raised veins on the inside of his forearm.
"Yeah, was getting that feeling." He chuckled, her head moving as his stomach tensed with his laughter. She sat up to allow him to get up, lazily following him up to the front door. "See you next Friday, yeah? Is your turn to host movie night." Harrison reminded her as he put his trainers on.
"Oh, right. Almost forgot." She rubbed her eye with the back of her hand as she scrunched up her face at him.
"I can come by early to help you out." The blonde suggested and she nodded, thanking him for his disposition. "Don't worry about it, love."
"Tell the boys I say thank you for sticking up for me last night." Her voice was slightly groggy with tiredness. The boy nodded affirmatively as she threw his jacket on. "And thank you for... Well, being there for me always." She trapped her bottom lip between her teeth, her heart was thudding inside her chest out of nowhere.
"No need to thank me, y/n/n. I will always be here for you, no matter what." Harrison's voice was soft and quiet. The girl nodded, she almost felt like crying at his words so she decided to just hug it out, throwing her arms around the boy's neck burying her face in his neck. His arms wrapped immediately around her, holding her firmly against his body and placing a couple of kisses on her shoulder.
She closed her eyes and mouthed her forbidden words. She didn't dare to say them out loud, not to him. Because if she did even if she meant it in a friendly way he could misunderstand and he could do what Rae had done, or if he rejected her she would have no other choice but to run away because things would get awkward, she knew they would. She couldn't afford to lose him, out of everyone, not Harrison.
He let go of her first as he was the one that heard her phone going off in the near distance. "Your phone's ringing." He pointed out, reaching for the doorknob, twisting it and opening the front door. "See you." A sigh left his lips as he stepped out of y/n's flat, gently shutting the door behind him.
Y/n walked back to the living room, picking her phone up from the coffee table. The screen showed a video call request from Will, her thumb swiped the green button accepting the call and soon the young man's face occupied her whole screen. "Why is everything so dark? Were you asleep?" His voice echoed throughout her silent flat.
