It was a stormy night, at least Frank Zhang was sure of that. What he wasn't sure of is why he decided to go on guard duty tonight out of all nights? Frank Zhang could be with Hazel right now, chatting and staying up all night long! But no... he decided to go on stupid guard duty instead! He was a praetor for goodness sakes! He could do whatever he wanted!
"Stop it Frank." he scolded himself "This is my duty and I need to set a good example for the new demigods that just arrived. I don't want them making mischief."
He relaxed and settled back into his position. He bolted upright! "I know I heard something" Frank Zhang muttered to himself. He quietly walked towards the sound, when he got there... nothing was there!
"Hmm." He thought "It must have been a squirrel or something."
He turned and started walking back to his position... When he realized, his guard duty partner... wasn't there! Frank Zhang knew he was going to have a talk with him later, when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around ready to talk to his partner about why he left him. When all of a sudden, everything went dark...
