JUNES POV

Rinning faded into sirens, blackness turned into blurriness. Voices that were muffled became clear. "June, I'm so so so sorry." I knew that voice more than any sound in the universe, it was George. "George..." I mumbled. "June, oh June!" he cried out. I felt like I was falling backward, I was fading out and I couldn't control it. "No, no, no baby stay with me! June? JUNE!"

GEORGES POV

"What's going on with her?!" I yelled at the medic. I tried to get close to her, hold her, but he pushed me down in the seat. "Mr. Harrison we need you to stay seated while the ambulance is moving." "I think you need to tell me what the fuck is happening with June!" I screamed as I threw his hands off of me. "Mr. Harrison, you need to calm down. by the looks of it, you could be concussed and we need to make sure you're okay. I promise you by the time we get to the hospital we will know what's going on." He affirmed. June I need you to be... the baby.

JUNES POV

I felt like my head was splitting open, my eyelids were heavy, but I could hear everything the people in the room were saying. "Well, she Has a concussion, not severe but still pretty bad. She also has 3 broken ribs." What the hell happened to me? What about George?? and Bala... "What about the baby Dr. Robbert..." A cracked voice inquired. It was Geo, and it reassured my wondering thoughts about his health... but the thought about the baby. "I'd like to tell you both at the same time if possible. I'm sorry Mr. Harrison." I needed to hear this and be with him. Why did he say he was sorry?.

I started to stir, opening my eyes and seeing Geo's face with dried blood stained on the side of his head from temple to cheek. "Geo..." I whispered. "Oh, June!" He got up from the seat and kneeled beside me taking my hand in his. "I'm so so sorry, John picked up Bala and took her to the vet to make sure she's okay. this should've happened to me I was driving, I-" "George, this isn't your fault." I reached my hand to rest on his cheek. He leaned In and shed tears, his hair moving out of the way to show the small shaven patch that had 10 stitches in it. "My love your head." I cried. " Love, look at you, you have 3 broken ribs." he cried as well. both of us both knew we were lucky to have each other.

"Mr. Harrison, Ms. Claymore, I'd like to talk with you both for a moment about the baby." Dr. Robbert asked, tearing us away from our reality. Geo looked in his eyes, never letting go of my hand. I nodded as the doc looked between the two of us with a somber look... please..

"Well, the state we found you, the clutch that broke your ribs also made an extremely hard blow to your stomach." Say it, please. "We tried everything we have to keep the baby alive..." "Stop sugarcoating Dr. Robbert and just tell me my baby isn't alive goddamit!" I yelled, tears threatening to spill. "I'm sorry, but your baby has passed away."

TWO WEEKS LATER

"June are you ready to go home today?" Helen, my nurse asked as we waited for George. "Very much, I miss home and my cat Bala and Geo." I missed him the most even though George stopped by every day when I was in the nursing home, he tried everything to cheer me up about the baby being gone but I couldn't take any of it. "Well speaking of the devil, look whos here!" Helen was always so happy to see Him. she loved the Beatles I mean who didn't, but she always told me how she was more of a Paul fan. "Hello, my love." He said as he kissed my cheek. "you ready to break out of here?" He teased. "I'll miss you Helen, but yes." I giggled. "I have some more flowers for you in the garden when we get home." He whispered in my ear. "I cant wait to see them." I smiled

"They were transported to Maidenhead Hospital where they were treated for their injuries in the casualty department after they were hit by a drunk driver. George received stitches and was discharged from the hospital. June was more seriously injured with a bad concussion and broken ribs. She was transferred to the nearby Nuffield Nursing Home in Fulmer, Slough for observation." the Radio stated. George clutched his hands on the wheel, making his knuckles turn white. "Babe, please don't worry it wasn't your fault in the first place he ran into us," I said trying to comfort him, even though I knew it wasn't working.

We drove up to the gravel drive, the flowers surrounding the path. I looked over to Gorge as we reached the familiar house. Carefully I turned to look at him, making sure I don't hurt my ribs as the Dr said. I placed my hand on his cheek and pulled him close, he was the love of my life. We survived a car crash, suffered ridiculous 20's drama, losing our baby, and years of being apart. Throw it at our world we can fucking handle it.
