Junes POV
"Holy shit its freezing." I shivered. I looked out to see a fresh blanket of snow on the ground and a clock that said 2 am. I wonder if Geo Is awake? I'm going to pester him about this because it's to bloody cold to sleep.
I went to Georges room and slowly opened the door. "George?" I peered in to see him all cozy in his covers with a fire in his fireplace. I walked to the bed and started to here mumbles. I paused to hear what he was saying making out a few words. "June... please, stop teasing." I looked at him with warmth on my cheeks. "Geo wake up." I said sweetly. "No I still love you I can't..." he mumbled leaving me in shock. "What?!?" I said a little too loudly. "Jesus June! when did you get here??" He said shooting up from the bed. "Sorry..." I said looking at the bed is that a bump? OH MY GOD. My cheeks turned bright red and so did his.
"I was wondering If I could stay here... It's a lot warmer than my room..." I stuttered. "Yeah come on in."
Georges POV.
After the little moment of embarrassment, I opened the covers and let her in. "Thanks, Geo." she smiled. "No problem love."
~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to paradise, Junes thin body was wrapped around mine with our legs tangled and our bodies so close to each other. I wanted to kiss her and keep her like this forever but I knew I couldn't. she snuggled closer to my bare chest and I held her tighter. She started to stir and got even closer. "George..." she mumbled. I smiled to myself and started to hum the song I wrote for her last night, Let It Down. God this was truly cloud nine.
June's POV
I woke up to George surrounding me with his strong arms. I couldn't tell a lie... I loved it, every single bit of it. He started humming a beautiful song by my ear. I opened my hazel eyes and looked up to his dark brown. "Morning love." Geo said sweetly. I knew this was odd, we were broken up, separated, and now sleeping in the same bed together. But something felt so right about It.
"want some breakfast?" He asked. "Sounds great." I smiled back. "Well, you're going to have to let me go then." He giggled. I let go and blushed, thinking about the time I tried to make tea when we were together. "Sorry about that." My cheeks turned crimson... Why was I falling so hard for him? Just because he wrote you songs like I need you doesn't make up the fact he didn't trust you and then married the girl who kissed him when you were with him.
he got up from the bed and started to put some clothes over the pair of boxers he was wearing. I blushed at the sight and he noticed, taking the opportunities to tease. "Oh come on June you've seen me in less than boxers a couple of times, Don't get pink on me!" He laughed.
I rolled my eyes and followed him down the stairs. "I'll cook, it's my turn after last night." I smiled. He grinned and left the room. Figuring he went to work on a song or watch the telly I continued to make breakie. I grabbed a pan from the bottom cupboard and cracked a few eggs. "so much for being vegetarian." I laughed as I saw a packet of eggs and some fish.
I started humming one of my favorite songs by him, something. It killed me to learn on our car ride it really was about me, not Pattie. "Smells good love." Geo said guitar in hand, sitting down to play next to me. "You mind if I play?." He humbly asked to make sure he wasn't bothering like he even could. "Geo you can play anytime, it doesn't bother me." I smiled and continued to put jam on the crumpets as he played.
I handed him a plate and sat down, eating our breakfast. we conversed and laughed then finished our food. I relized he started to stare at me. "What?" I giggled. "June... Can I play you a song I wrote?" He asked shyly. "I would love to hear you, you know how much I love it when you play for me." I said with glee. He took a deep breath then started picking on his guitar.
"Though you sit in another chair, I can feel you here
Looking like I don't care but I do, I do
Hiding it all behind anything I see
Should someone be looking at me?While I occupy my mind, I can feel you here
Love to us is so well timed and I do, I do
Wasting away these moments so heavenly
Should someone be looking at me?Let it down, let it down
Let your hair hang all around me
Let it down, let it down
Let your love flow and astound meWhile you look so sweetly and divine, I can feel you here
I see your eyes are busy kissing mine, and I do, I do
Wondering what it is they expecting to see
Should someone be looking at me?Let it down, let it down
Let your hair hang all around me
Let it down, let it down
Let your love flow and astound me."
He sang with feeling and such passion it blew me away. Whoever was the inspiration was so lucky. "What did you think?" He asked. I was speechless it was beautiful, and it was completely him, no other ex Beatles could claim this. "It was... amazing Geo... who-whats the backstory?" I asked, wanting to know if there was a new girl in his life. I knew the answer would hurt me so I prepared for the worse.
"Erm... uh... you actually..." He stuttered nervously. "wh...what?" I replied, the same amount of nervousness in my voice. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said anything..." He said getting up with his guitar. "George wait!" I ran up to him, my arms wrapped around his neck as my lips connected to his. He was shocked and didn't kiss back right away. He realized everything and started to kiss me more passionate than ever before.
"Come on, I think I know what we should do today."
