Chapter 14: Training

Ethan and I make our way down for dinner. The bell went off ten minutes ago but we were busy arguing over the stupid mind reading.

We make it to the dining area and it's a lot busier than normal. "Ethan why is it so busy in here?" I ask Ethan in a hushed voice, he just shrugs. Huh that's weird.

As we make our way to our seat I see Aubrey rushing over to me giving me a big hug "Oh Lola I'm so glad you're okay! You had me so worried! How are you feeling? You have fire powers?! That's insane I honestly couldn't believe it when-" I cut her off "Aubrey stop you're talking way too fast right now" I say and laugh at how ridiculous she is but I love her anyway.

"I'm sorry I'm just so happy you're okay. For a second I thought you weren't going to make it" Ethan starts to growl and Aubrey gives him a sympathetic look. "Listen we'll talk later okay?" I say trying to bring light to the situation, Aubrey nods frantically and makes her way back to her table.

I look over at Ethan and he still has a scowl on his face "Oh would you stop I'm fineeee see-" I do a little twirl "I'm good to go" Ethan just shakes his head not getting rid of the scowl on his face.

Once we've made it to the table I sit on Ethan's lap and we eat some pasta . "Mmmm this is delicious! It's almost as good as the pasta in Italy" I say with a big smile on my face, "You've been to Italy before?" Ethan asks, getting curious. "Yep I've been to a bunch of places" I say before shoving a bunch of pasta in my mouth, Ethan nods waiting for me to continue.

"Like......?" He says getting annoyed, "Oh right-" I laugh "Sorry. Ummm I've been to Italy, France, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Canada and Switzerland." I say and Ethan's face is in complete shock, "Holy shit Lola you've seen the world!" he says in awe and I giggle "No I haven't but yeah I admit I've been very lucky" I say feeling shy.

I don't want him thinking I'm a brat who brags about places I've been to. "Hey, look at me-" Ethan says grabbing both sides of my face "-I don't think you're a brat. I think you're an incredible person who has lived a great life. A life that everyone should be allowed to live" Ethan says looking into my eyes. I nod and finish off the pasta.

After dinner Ethan drags me down to the lower level of the school. It is a big open area with concrete floors and gym equipment on all of the shelves along the walls. "Everyone gather around!" a man says. He has blond hair slicked back, bright green eyes and looks around my age. We all walk over to the centre of the room and circle around him. Ethan lets go of my hand and walks over beside the man.

"Welcome, to your first training session. My name is Daniel and I will be your instructor throughout the school year. Today we have the honour of having our alpha helping out. Give it up for Ethan-" everyone cheers for Ethan but I stay there with my arms crossed at my chest. Ethan sees me not clapping and does not look impressed with me, making me laugh "-okay everyone can calm down now. There is a couple of rules we have to go by. Rule number one there are no rules!! Let's go!" He shouts and I jump when the doors open up revealing the forest and they all run out. Ethan comes over to me and takes my hand making me run along with them.

As soon as we make it in the forest we all gather around again. There are torch's with fire flames at the top, on some trees which gives us a bit of lighting. "Okay so first off we are all going to pair you and work on defences we can use and then we will work in groups and play some stick tag what do you say?" everyone cheers including myself. I don't know what stick tag is but I'm sure it's fun. All of a sudden everyone starts to change into their wolf forms, I close my eyes and cover my ears not wanting to hear or see them.

"Hey excuse me miss but why aren't you changing?" Daniels asks coming towards me still in his human form. "Ahhhh I'm actually not a wolf" I say averting my eyes because of how awkward I feel. "You're not a werewolf?! What the hell are you doing in this school?" Daniel says in complete shock and a big wolf comes towards him growling and I immediately know it's my Ethan.

I smile running my fingers through his dense dark grey fur. Ethan runs his cheek against my jaw and purrs, calming down. He puts his forehead against mine and I place my hand on his cheek. Hey there you! I know he can read my mind right now so I might as well communicate with it. "Oh I see. Ethan is your mate isn't he?" Daniel asks when realisation hits him, I look over at Daniel and shake my head "No he's not my mate-" I look back over into my wolfs cold silver eyes "-he's my true mate" I whisper not taking my eyes off of Ethan. "Holy shit no way! Well in that case carry on" I laugh as Daniel walks away. He seems sweet.

"I'm guessing your my partner big boy" I say and Ethan nods. "You sure you want to I can be dangerous when I want to be" I say with a smug smile on my face. Ethan backs up and puts his butt in the air shaking his tail like a dog who wants to play. I transform into Melissa-I named my monster form that because I felt like it suited her.

Ethan stands up straight and looks at me in awe, all of the other wolves have stopped what their doing and look at me as well. A big flame of fire comes out of my right hand and I twist my hand around looking at it with shock on my face. This is a lot of fire and I don't even feel it happening.

I shoot a fireball on the ground just in front of Ethan's feet. I laugh when Ethan jumps up, frightened by the fire. I take the fire back into my hands making sure it doesn't spread. I transform back into Lola and look around at everyone feeling shy. I look at my feet and wait for someone to move but nobody does.

Than all of a sudden they all jump up and down howling, playfully pushing each other rolling along the ground. Ethan strolls over to me with a proud face. He rubs his face into my neck and I sigh enjoying the feel of him on my skin. A white wolf picks up a two sticks and separates everyone into groups. I presume that's Daniel. Isn't it a bit early for stick tag? I haven't even practiced anything!

He stops in front of me and Ethan and I step away from Ethan, wanting to be on another team. I'm going to take him down. Ethan shakes his head knowing what I'm thinking.

There is a total of four groups with five wolves in each. In mine there is me and 4 wolves but whatever. Daniel takes the sticks from his mouth and places them on the floor. Ethan's group take a stick and so does Daniels group. Two groups go against each other. Ethan's group is going against another group and my group is going against Daniels.

Ethan puts the stick in his mouth and runs off making everyone else run after him. Daniel takes a stick as well and we all run. I run as fast as I can taking controlled breaths making sure not to get too tired. I keep my eyes on Daniel the whole time. The wolves are a little bit ahead of me but I try my best to keep up.

I don't know where the other two group are gone to but I stay focused on Daniel. The wolves on Daniels team are trying to get the members on my team distracted and it actually works. My team has gone off in another direction but I stay on track heading for Daniel.

He leaps through the forest so fast I'm surprised I still see him. He hits a big branch off a tree making it block my way of getting to him. I stop running and look around for another way. I see one of the fire torch's have fallen and have created a small flame on the ground.

"Shit!" I shout when I gets bigger. I try and take the fire back with my powers but it's not working. "No no no..." I mumble to myself and try and get away but I can't, the fire is getting bigger spreading up along the trees. "HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!!" I shout and start to cough. "PLEASE HELP MEEE!" I look around trying to find a way out but I can't find anything. I'm trapped.
