I start running faster than I've ever ran before. I'm jumping through the forest like it's second nature to me. I can hear Aubrey's distant shouts but I just ignore them.
"Lola...." I come to halt and look around. I swear I heard someone whisper my name but I don't see anyone.
"Lola help me......Lola please..." the voice whispers again and I don't recognise it at all.
"Hello?" I call out looking all around me.
"Lola....he's going to kill you.....and then he's going to kill me too" the voice whispers and tears come to my eyes.
"Who is? Who is going to kill me?" I cry out turning my head everywhere but I still don't see anyone.
"H-his name......is...." the voice fades away.
"No come back! Tell me who it is!" I scream but it's no use. The voice is gone.
I continue to run through the forest and come to a stop when I see the familiar tree on the ground blocking my way. The exact same tree that I got bitten on.
I can hear Aubrey's calls coming closer and I turn around to see she is a couple of feet away from me. "LOLA I AM SO SICK OF YOUR SHIT!" She shouts and I flinch.
"I get that this is a lot to take in but you have got to stop running away from your fucking problems! You could get hurt so just......just stop" she whispers the last part and I cry.
"I'm s-sorry okay! I can't help it!" I shout and Aubrey steps closer.
"Listen Lola we have got to go back to the college, it's not safe to be out here any longer" she says reaching her hand out for me.
"W-what do you mean?" I ask shakily.
"For god sake Lola would you just listen to me for once! Beyond that tree is a barrier between the two packs; we are not allowed to cross it. The side we're on right now is our pack and that side.....is the Kirpers." She says and a pained expression crosses her face.
"Oh my god..." I whisper in horror.
"I walked on that side before....and I got bitten by a werewolf...." I trail off looking over the tree.
"I know Lola, I know now come on they love to hunt at night so we have got to get out of here. Now!" I nod slowly.
We walk slowly a couple of steps until we hear the snap of a twig. We both turn around cautiously, to see who made the sound. I squint my eyes trying to see what it was.
"Lola......don't move" Aubrey mumbles and I can feel her tense up beside me. I don't understand there is nothing there. Why can't I move?
Unless....they're behind us...right now. Oh my god they're behind us aren't they?! Aubrey nods, reading my thoughts.
I gulp and begin to turn but Aubrey grabs my hand.
"What did I just say Lola?! Do not move!" she grits out.
"But we're on our side if there is a werewolf behind us it's apart of our pack so....we should be fine" I quietly say, only for our ears to hear. Aubrey stays quiet thinking of a tactic.
She sighs "....okay since you're the Luna it should be fine." I turn my head to see what there is, but there's nothing. I step away from Aubrey and walk a bit further looking around us.
