Ivy
"I'm not related. I'm a good friend of the family and the bride." I answer the man.
"A good friend of both sides? I didn't know the Myles and Martinez's were in cahoots." He says thoughtfully.
"Really? I thought that was pretty well known. My father and Rick were... great friends." I say feeling the overwhelming sadness again.
"I'm sorry for your loss, you know. I met your father. He was great." He says looking sympathetic. I sigh, of course, he met my father; everybody met my father at least once.
"It was a long time ago," I say trying to hide the sadness.
"Yes, but scars don't just heal, they fade. And very slowly at that." He says looking down at me, so I have no escape. Nothing to look at but him.
"Okay, not to be rude or anything but... what's your name?" I ask hoping I don't sound like a bitch, but I guess I don't because he laughs... pretty loudly.
"I'm Sebastian Ashwood." He says still smiling and I smile back.
"Nice to actually meet you," I said offering my hand to him. He takes it.
"Nice to finally meet you, Miss. Myles." He says and I have a slight flashback of him calling me that the whole time we talked. At the party, at the bar, and at his place.
"And I don't mean to bring this up or make things awkward, but I don't remember exactly what happened that night," I say and for a second I think I finally overstepped.
"What happened?" He asks and I nod shyly.
"Well, you don't remember because nothing really happened. I mean we made out a little and got partially undressed, but then you passed out on the couch while I was grabbing us another drink." He says shrugging.
"Oh good," I say and then realize what I said.
"Oh, I meant good because then that means I do remember everything. I thought we might have slept together, and I didn't remember." I say rushing my words. He chuckles at me before shaking his head.
"You are definitely something else, Miss. Myles." He says looking around.
"I think you're wanted." He says nodding to something over my head. I turn around and see Malia and Reina smiling at me and River glaring at... well not me for once.
"They just--" I say while turning around, but when I do, he's already gone. Huh?
"Come on, Ivy!" Reina says waving me over to the photographer.
We take a bunch of nice pictures for the wedding book Reina's having some professionals put together and then we take some goofy pictures because Reina is tipsy, and she wants to.
"Alright, that's enough for us," Rick says rubbing his jaw.
"All this smiling, Ricky's not used to it," Lily says patting her husband's shoulder like a baby. He rolls his eyes before walking away. She laughs before following him to their table.
"You guys aren't fizzled out yet, right?" Reina asks before pouting like a child.
"Bring it on," I say looking at the photographer. My cheeks are definitely going to be hurting, I can already feel it.
After only a few more minutes River had given up. I could tell Roman wanted to follow his little brother, but he stayed for Reina. The three of us were only staying for Reina.
"Okay, fine. That's enough." She finally says and I sigh loudly, Malia acts like she is wiping sweat off her forehead, while Roman acts like he's thanking God.
