Ivy (last night)

It's two in the morning and at least three-quarters of the party has left. Those who haven't are now sitting in the basement just talking. Well, most of us are talking. Some are sticking their tongue down a stranger's throat.

"I think I'm going to be sick," Malia mutters out. She sucks down her drink as if it'll help cloud her vision enough that she doesn't see her cousin making out with a random girl.

This night has been filled with scenes like this. I ignored River the whole night though, although he didn't really try and talk to me. I think he's still pissed that I asked about Gray but fuck him. I wasn't going to even go near Gray tonight out of respect, but then River was a dick after I apologized for the second time.

By the time Gray got here, I was more than happy to put my Malia and Gray plan in motion. It worked well, they talked for most of the night, but now Gray is gone, and Malia is sitting so close to me I wouldn't be surprised if she moved onto my lap. I think she thinks I'm hurt over River's little hookup since we're supposed to be flinging.

I'm not, I just find it irritating that he got so mad that I asked about his friend and now he's got a little brunette on his lap. I was never under the impression that this thing was exclusive at all. By those principles, he shouldn't have gotten mad that I asked about Gray just like I'm not mad about the porn happening in the corner.

"I've got a meeting early tomorrow. I probably should have left an hour ago." Sebastian says before finishing his drink. He was brought to the party by one of his friends who heard about it. I was pleasantly surprised to see him there and he seemed to sigh in relief when he saw it was my party.

Sebastian told me his friend is always bringing him to crazy parties and that he expects him to be the designated driver. His friend got a ride home with a girl he was sucking faces with though and Sebastian stayed. We've pretty much been talking all night and he seems pretty interested in me. He's good-looking, successful, and confident. Not in an overbearing way though, it's refreshing.

"You're driving after you've been drinking?" I asked glancing at the drink he just downed.

He tilts his head at me like a curious dog before smirking. I hear a scoff from the corner of the room and my head swings in its direction. It seems River has detached himself from his brunette's lips for a second to scoff at me for what I'm unsure of. Making sure everyone gets home safe?

"I'll get an uber if it makes you feel better," Sebastian says after rolling his eyes at River.

While Sebastian and I were talking I learned a few things. Like how Sebastian and River are being forced to work together. Apparently, Sebastian and River clash like nobody's business and they have been put to the test. Their parents want to see if they can both be professional and work together without tearing each other apart.

I've got to say I can see why they clash. They're similar in ways, but River is on the risky side while Sebastian is on the safe side. Sebastian wants to take over the family business, that's why he accepted his parents' challenge. River accepted it to challenge Sebastian in some way.

"It does," I say with a smile.

Malia squeals before covering her mouth like she wasn't supposed to do that aloud. Sebastian chuckles while he pulls out his phone to order the uber. Malia peeks at me from behind her long dark hair. I smile at her and she smiles at me. Sebastian is looking better and better to me. This little fling with River might be cut short before it even starts if this guy continues to impress me like he's been doing.

"Easy," Dean says from his seat.

He's been watching Sebastian and I talk all night. He's totally overprotective as we've already seen, but he, apparently, likes Sebastian. Like they've met before for business, and he actually liked him. Dean doesn't like business guys, which is why I was visibly shocked when he told me that. Then I thought about it and realized business guys aren't my type either, so I give Sebastian mad props for winning us both over.
