Natsu went on to explain that the book was detailed how his time would be remembered in my history. Also, that Brandish left a message stating: As long as recorded history does not change, it's theoretically possible that the storm won't reoccur.
"And so, I decided to die."
"YOU WHAT!?"
Natsu chuckled at my sudden out burst. "I let it be known that I died in the fire and a grave erected for myself. And in accordance to history, I entrusted everything to Sting and have been living as if I were dead these past three months."
'Oh thank god! Wow, nice cover!' "Well it sounds like everything's in place and I won't have to go back to the present."
"I believe that's the case." Natsu sounded pleased, and hearing that set my mind at ease.
The book also warned that in three months that it was possible another wormhole would open up. And that's how Natsu new I'd be here.
'Brandish, I can't thank you enough for what you've done for us!'
Looking up at Natsu, I smiled. "So you believed I'd come back."
"You charged into enemy lines to save me. I knew it wouldn't stop you from returning to my side."
'This is the one time I'm truly happy he has me completely figured out.'
Natsu nudged at me, "Even though I'm no longer a player on the world stage, I haven't lost my ambition."
"I wouldn't image you would." I Giggled.
"And so, I want you by my side while I see it come true."
"Sounds good, we can't give up world domination this easily, right?"
"Heh, yet you sounded so uninterested the first time I offered it to you." Natsu brushed the corners of my eyes with his long fingers. They trembled slightly to touch me.
"Lucy, even if the fiercest storms or the will of the heaven itself should try to separate you from me, I will never let you go again."
I threw myself into Natsu's arms. Wide eyed, he caught me, but unexpectedly, he wobbled on his feet.
'Uh oh!'
Natsu had just enough time to hold me tightly against his chest before we tumbled down onto the futon. I put my hands on him and hurriedly pushed myself up.
"I didn't see that coming, sorry!"
Natsu shook his head. "Do not worry. Actually, I find the experience of lying under you to be quite novel." He ran a finger underneath my lower lip, urging me back, and I followed willingly.
"Lucy, kiss me."
He looked very kissable. And there was something deeply needful in his eyes.
"Come on, Luce. I've been waiting for three months. Don't make we wait much-!"
'Three months of waiting had been tough on me too.'
Just brushing my lips against his sent a hot desire pulsing through my core. 'Oh how I've missed your touch, and all the teasing!' "Natsu?"
"Yes?" His voice just barely quivered.
"I missed this."
Smiling a devilish smile, he pulled my hips against him. The sensation nearly had me cry out.
I straddled him with my legs, my heartbeat throbbing painfully fast.
"Go on, I'm yours. However you desire."
"Natsu you say that, but I've built up a pretty long list."
"So? Don't hold back."
I chewed my lower lip in anticipation at the sight of Natsu's smile. He was already enjoying this. I kissed his forehead, his cheeks, the bridge of his nose. His face was soft in a way his rough hands weren't.
Panting, I ran kisses down his jawline, nibbling and tasting how sweetly warm his skin was. As I moved lower—
"S-stop."
'Huh, HE wants ME to-?' "You need me to stop?"
