Walking through the grey hallway, the young male's eyes shifted from the shiny, squeaky clean floor to the blank walls before resting on one of the flickering LED lights a little in the distance, the reality of the situation beginning to sink in. Lee Donghun and Park Junhee, Chan really couldn't believe it. During his time at the police academy, he'd heard those names everywhere. Both males had graduated top of their class, excelling in every subject they followed, from field work to forensics, they could do it all.

And now, Chan was going to meet the very people whom he aspired to be like, the people who'd motivated him to do his very best in all his classes. Just like them, he wanted to be on top, and just like them, he reached his goal. Through hard work, he graduated top of his class and now, only a few months later, he was already hired at the biggest police station in Seoul, about to work together with his alumni on a case labelled as 'top secret'. Saying the young male was nervous was quite the understatement, his hands shaking ever so slightly as he followed his new boss into one of the meeting rooms, where the Donghun and Junhee were about to brief him on the case they'd be working on.

His nerves however were soon replaced with excitement at the prospect of his upcoming career. Profiling and fieldwork were his personal favourites when it came to being an agent and as luck had it, those were the two things he would be doing most these upcoming couple of months, from what he had heard during the first, short meeting he'd had with his boss.

The boss paused in front of a plain grey door, much like literally everything else in the hallway. In Chan's opinion this place could really do with a new paintjob and a couple of plants, though he knew that in the near future, he'd be much too focused on his case to even mind the boring interior design. "They're expecting you", his boss spoke up, turning around and facing the new employee. "They'll explain everything you need to know. Don't be afraid to ask any questions if you don't understand, I'm sure they'll be able to help, they are my best agents after all", the boss chuckled deeply, giving Chan an encouraging pat on the shoulder, before briskly walking away.

Taking a deep breath, Chan pushed the metal door handle down and confidently entered the room. Looking around swiftly, Chan noticed it was a basic meeting room. The lights were slightly dimmed and there was a large table in the centre of the room, which was surrounded by a bunch of empty leather chairs. A projector was placed on the middle of the table, pointing at the wall furthest from him. Next to the projected image, which was blank for now, stood two males, and from all the pictures he'd seen, Chan immediately recognised them as his co-workers.

"Kang Yuchan?", the black-haired male questioned as the youngest made his way over to them. "Please, call me Chan", the taller replied, stretching his hand out for the other to shake, a friendly smile on his face. Accepting the gesture, the black-haired male gave the younger a smile in return before introducing himself. "My name is Park Junhee, or Jun-hyung for short", Jun introduced himself. "And I'm Lee Donghun", the brunet next to Jun spoke up, giving the younger an inviting smile. "Please, have a seat", Jun gestured to the chair nearest to them, a bunch of files neatly stacked on the table closest to said chair. "Today is quite the hectic day, so let's get started, shall we. We can get to know each other a little more later", Jun continued as Chan took a seat on the rather comfortable black chair.

Opening the classified files in front of him, Chan's eyes skimmed across the paper, looking at the names of the criminals he'd hopefully be catching. Upon reading the second name, Chan let out an audible gasp, causing his co-workers, who were quietly observing him, to look at him in confusion. "Is everything alright?", Donghun asked upon seeing the shocked look on the youngest face. "I used to be friends with him, we went to high school together", Chan replied pointing at the second male's name. "You knew Kim Byeongkwan? What was he like?", Jun asked gingerly, grabbing his trusty notebook and clicking his pen, readying himself to write down anything interesting the younger might have to say.
