When Amaya moves to a new town she's anything but comfortable, but with the help of the friendly Dacre, she soon falls for in love with Emmerdale. Little does she know, the town is anything but nice.
I can't believe people still move here. I wish I could leave this piece of shit town but I can't. Family business to handle. I heard it was a girl from New York. Why would she leave the city for this place. It's literally the definition of nowhere. If I was in New York, I would never leave. Emmerdale is so...boring. At least from the perspective of an outsider looking in. A lot of blood has been shed here though. "Dacre. Enough daydreaming. Get back to work." My dad said. "Yes sir." I grabbed my toolbox and headed towards the garage. "What seems to be the problem, Mrs. Dean?" "My damn brakes boy. You said I wouldn't hafta come back here." I shrugged. "Maybe it's time to put her down." "Don't you dare. Have you seen Tana runnin around here since you've been out?" "No ma'am." "Well if you see here, tell her I need her back at the house to help take care of the kids." "Okay. Your breaks just needed a lil grease up. Everything should be fine now." "Thank you, Dacre." "No problem." A red truck pulled into the parking lot of the gas station and I saw a girl hop out. "That must be that new chick errybody was speakin about." Mrs. Dean said. "Yeah?" "I heard she was yer age boy. Finally some friends that you can run around with that'll keep you out of trouble." I shook my head and walked towards the gas station.
Amaya
I walked into a gas station called "Montgomery's" and looked around for someone. "Hello?" The door opened behind me and I turned around. "Can I help you?" A husky voice said.

"I dunno. I mean, I hope so. Are you from here?" He walked to the counter and leaned against it. "Why would anyone just be chilling in this shithole town. Yes, I'm from here." He looked at me. "I- Okay. Sorry. I just need gas and...groceries." I looked around. "I'm assuming I get those from here too." He smirked. "You really are a city girl, huh?" "I'm...How'd you know?" "Nobody moves to Emmerdale. When they do, it's a big deal. You're a big deal." "I'm definitely not. And what do you mean by "city girl"?" "Heard you were from the Big Apple." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah. And?" "You're not gonna last a day out here." "Can you just- Nevermind. I'll do it myself." I dropped a 5 dollar bill on the counter and walked out the doors of the store. I hate being judged and he was definitely judging me. I'm not a city girl. I'm not a country girl. I'm none of that. I needed to go somewhere where I wouldn't be judged and this place was definitely not it. I got back in my truck and slammed the door shut. Closing my eyes, I counted to ten. Knock Knock Knock. I looked out the window and saw the guy. I opened the door and got out. "I can't pump the gas if you're in the car." "I don't need you to pump the gas. I'm very capable." "Hey. No hard feelings. I was just picking fun." "Pick your fun somewhere else." I grabbed the pump and opened shoved it in the gas tank. "I guess we started off on the wrong foot." He held out his hand. "I'm Dacre. Dacre Montgomery."
