(y/n)'s POV: narration

2016 flew by and went in a flash. A lot kind of happened? I don't know. Anyway, 2016 is when I got my first international gold medal at SEA AGE 2016 and won the MVP with 12 gold medals. Unknown to Yuna actually, I have been working with (b/n), (x/n), (b/n), (g/n) and (m/n), also known by their acronym, _.

(They are female while you're a male. Telling you this straight up. So do not get confused.)

They are good rising stars in music and can't believe I'm saying this, does not just pop music, but K-pop as well. Funny I know. Who would have thought that you could do K-pop without being in Korea!!! All jokes aside, I had to create a "studio". So I set up Fire Studio records. Very original but whatever. So, apart from my own music, I do _. But I mostly produce music. They released their first album

(I can't be bothered to say the title track and the name of it as it will take forever)

And title track. Their MV has around 60+ million views and sold around 125 thousand copies. Their second MV was K-pop and the album's second title tracked earned around 80 million copies. It helped boost sales to around 200 thousand copies. That was in 2016. Right now in 2017. They launched 2 albums and 3 MV. The first album had 2 title tracks, 68 and 80 million views. The 2nd album and a K-pop hit, having over 138 million views. The two albums had around 325 thousand copies of both albums sold. They had 4 concerts in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, each with around 6000 copies. Anyway, so right now it is SEA AGE and we are in Brunei. It is day 1, 400 free, 100 fly and 200IM. Sounds fine. But in fact, I am going for the U14 record. In SNAG and SNSC, I have the U-14R for the 200 Fly. Right now, I am in the call room. After this meet is over, I am headed to Kumming for a training camp then off to Africa to see some wildlife. _ are also following me. It's my time, time to race.

"Take your marks". Beep.

(I can't be bothered to describe it so we will skip to the end. This will be the same for all swims. Also before I forget, this is an age group swim meet, this is 13 year old or under.)

I touched the wall at a 4.07.76. that meant I broke the U-14 record. I then got out of the pool and watched (x/n) and (m/n) swim the 400 free. They touched. (m/n) won with a 4.23.20, new meet record. (x/n) is 2nd with a 4.24.28. tsk, those girls were very close friends and rivals. (x/n) excelled in shorter distance, 100 free, 200 Free while (m/n) is better at the IM and the longer distance freestyle.

I: Nice work you two. I congratulated them as we shook hands

(m/n): Yah, looks like I win again

(x/n) pouted: Come on Ash, I will get you in the shorted free

(m/n): Oh your on (x/n).

I laughed a bit: Yah. How about we warm down. We do have afternoon events. After this, we will watch (z/n) and (g/n). Those two are while, backstrokers, a bit different.

(z/n) is purely, mostly backstroker but can still put up a fight with (m/n) and (x/n). (g/n) is backstroker and breastroker. She is the slowest in free among everyone else, but is second in IM only behind Ash. She is the breastroker of the group.

???: He's right. Besides, I am going to win the 100 fly.

(x/n): Oh yah? Well, you're on (b/n).

This person was (b/n). The butterflier. She is second sprinter of the group but is beaten by Ash. These 5 are BFF, and are like basically sisters. I mean they call each other sisters more times than I can count. Even I accidentally mistaken them for sisters. Oops. Anyway, so we warmed down about 600-700. After that we three cheered for the two of them. (z/n) touched home in a 1.05.46 while (g/n) came home in second with a 1.06.48. (z/n) also broke the meet record. As the three of them went down, I just stood seated in my thoughts. Yuna. What would she think when she realised that she could have stayed here and fulfil her dream. Tsk, no point. We all have our own oaths, maybe we will cross paths again.

A few hours later...

The 100 fly, the second event that I want to try and go for the record. Let's do this. I swam a really good race a 57.12, new meet record and an U-14 record. Well, time to swim down. Although I did watch the women 100 fly. (b/n) won with a 1.01.18 and (x/n) second with a 1.01.76. (b/n) got an U-14 record. Now, it is time for the 200IM. I am tired as heck. But I still did a good time. My coach talked me through before the 100 fly. I am ready. (m/n) and (g/n) were swimming it as well. (b/n), (m/n), (x/n) and (z/n) will be swimming the 4x200 free relay. (m/n) and (x/n) already won a gold at the 4x100 mixed free. I swam the 200IM. Nearly succumbed to the lactate but did good, 2.14.34. New meet record. Nice. Anyway, I went to the warm down pool, after watching (m/n) and (g/n). Oh so close, 4 hundredths of a second between (m/n) and (g/n). (m/n) out touched (g/n)! 2.20.56 to 2.20.60. Man that was close. Anyway, (m/n) has to get ready for the 4x200 free coming real soon, me and (g/n) helped her a bit to the cool down pool. Her event has a bit of time and she is going third, so and extra 4ish minutes. (b/n), went first. Nice, a new PB a 2.05.10. She is ahead over our main rivals, Vietnam by 3 and a half seconds. (z/n) build on that lead with a 2.03.84, now over 8 seconds over Vietnam. Now (m/n). She swam fantastically, 2.02.92, now nearly 15 seconds over Vietnam. (x/n) brought it home in a 2.01.60 to end with a 8.13.46, new U-14 record and nearly 20 seconds over Vietnam. They cheered. Well done girls. Day one over, Day 2 coming up or as my coach like to put it, Day 1 all over again.

Day 2...

200 Free, I am going to swim alongside (x/n) and (m/n). The event not the heat. We are different genders for fuck sake. Anyway after that, it is the 100 breast by (g/n), then 200 back, swam by (g/n) and (z/n) after that it is the 400IM done by (m/n). After that it is the 4x100 free, by (x/n), (b/n), (g/n) and (m/n). Alright, it is time. I swam 1.56.82, new meet record and .61 off the U-14 record. Not bad, I will take it. Now onto (m/n) and (x/n). Wow! Nice work (x/n). Her first individual gold medal and an U-14 record 2.04.06. (m/n) got second in 2.05.70. Next up is (g/n) in the 100 breast. 1.13.42, new meet record and first gold as well. Well done, now onto the afternoon session. The 200 back for (z/n) and (g/n). (x/n) won with a time of 2.18.44, an U-14 record and (g/n) came second, 2.22.86. now it is me and (m/n)'s 400IM. I swam a good race. 4.45.42, new meet record. Well, nice. Alright, (m/n)'s turn. Ok..., she lost by nearly 4 seconds, still did a good time though. 5.08.18. she came in 2nd. She was clearly unhappy but thanks to her 'sisters', she was able to calm down for the relay. (x/n) went first, doing a 57.42, (b/n) a 57.12, (z/n) a 57.26 and (m/n) finally, doing a 57.18. A 3.48.98, new U-14 record. Well, day one round 2 over, the last day 3. Round 3 begins

Day 3...

Day. 3 100 free of me, (z/n) and (m/n). 200 breast for (g/n), 200 fly for me and (b/n), 4x100 medley relay for the girls. (z/n), (g/n), (b/n) and (z/n). Right after that is (m/n)'s 800 free. Anyway, 100 free is not my main six events, but I still did pretty well, coming in 1st with a 55.46. Now onto (z/n) and (m/n)'s 100 free. (z/n) won the event with a 57.38, new meet record and U-14 record. (m/n) second with a 57.82. Nothing else in the morning. Afternoon sessions. (g/n) is up. She did a 2.35.50, new U-14 record, man we are smashing it. Alright, my turn, it is the 200 fly now, my pet event and I am not messing up this event. Yes! New PB and record! 2.05.20. Man that is some way to end my last event. Now to the girl's relay. Well, surprisingly, they won with a 4.15.30. (z/n) with a 1.05.52, (g/n) with a 1.12.64, (b/n) with a 1.00.26 and (x/n) with a 56.88. that is an U-14 record Now to (m/n)'s 800 free which she did a 9.07.54 to finish first and a new meet record. Well, that's a rap for 2017, on to 2018.
