Chapter 4

Kelly glanced around the park looking for her best friend, but soon she felt something bump into her lower.
"Auntie Kelly!!" The little boy hugged her legs tightly
"Hi baby!" Kelly picked him up and placed a kiss on his cheek
"Where's mama at?"
Hunter pointed to the swings, "pushing Daisy."
"Well lets go join them!"
Miranda saw her best friend walking over to her, and before she could tell her, she heard her daughter's reaction! She lifted her out of the swing and placed her on her feet. She smiled as she watched her daughter run over to her god mother.
"Hi little Ms. Daisy!" Kelly kneeled down and met her with a hug and a kiss. She picked her up and made her way to Miranda.
"Hey!"
"Hey! Thanks for coming!" Miranda hugged her
"It was no problem at all. I had the day off, and Brandon and Lucas are still asleep! Hunting went well," Kelly laughed
"Plus, when my best friend needs me, I'm there!"
"Good because I need you really bad right now!"
Kelly noticed the look on her face and saw she was holding back tears. She turned to Hunter, "you and Daisy go play so mama and I can talk, and then we'll all go out for lunch!"
"I want burger!"
"And you'll get a burger. Call you when it's time to go, but stay where I can see you Hunter! No going off looking for animals," Miranda told him
"Yes ma'am. Come on Daisy, I teach you how to monkey bar," he smiled at his little sister
"Be careful!" Kelly called out before walking over to a bench with her best friend
"What's going on Ran?"
"I fucked up Kelly, I fucked up bad!"
"Oh lord, what happened?"
"Me and Thomas got into it last night!"
"As usual!" Kelly rolled her eyes
"Yeah, but I left this time."
"Where did you go?"
"To your house!"
Kelly raised her eyebrow, "Uuumm Ran ..."
"No I know I wasn't there, but Thomas thinks I was, so you need to think that too!"
"Okay I'll think that, but I also want to know. Ran where were you last night?"
"I don't know," she lowered her head
"Miranda Leigh Lam..."
"No honestly, I don't know," she interrupted her
Kelly looked on confused as Miranda pulled out her phone and scroll through it before handing it to her. Kelly read what she had pulled up and her eyes widened.
"Ran you didn't!" She turned to see her best friend kneeled over with her face in her hands crying. Kelly made sure the kids were okay and weren't paying them any attention before she pulled Miranda into her arms.
"Come on you gotta stop crying. Daisy and Hunter are right over there," Kelly soothed her
Miranda instantly shot up and wiped her face just as Hunter looked over at her and waved. She smiled and waved back before turning to Kelly.
"Who is he?"
"I have no clue. He was at Chuck's last night. He was hot, I was drinking, and he had a way with his hands!"
"So his place then?"
"Yup! All I know was it was a condo because I looked at the building getting out of his truck before I jumped into his arms!"
"Oh Ran," Kelly tried to comfort her
"It was great. He was great, but he wasn't my husband!"
"I take it Thomas doesn't know?"
"Of course not, but I have to tell him. Mama would kill me if she knew this."
"Okay let's deal with one problem at a time. Brandon's best friend finally brought his practice to Nashville. That's who Brandon and I saw back in Oklahoma after I had Lucas, and we started to have problems. He's a great marriage counselor. You and Thomas go see him, and there, there is a place to talk about that at."
"I don't know Kelly!"
"Didn't I tell you how much he helped me and Brandon?"
"Yeah you did!"
"We're still married another 5 years because of him. He'll help, trust me."
"How long has he been here in Nashville?"
"About 8 months. I know, as a favor to Brandon and I, he'll do 5 free sessions, but charge if more is needed. Brandon and I used up our 5 and paid for another one, but only 6 was needed."
"I trust you with my life, and that's the only reason I'm agreeing to this."
"Trust me, he was a huge lost to Oklahoma. He's amazing!"
"I hope so," Miranda said looking back at her kids
