Death is a funny concept when you think about it. Every breath you take could be your last, or someone elses. People die all the time. But what happens after? many great scientists have pondered this, as well as people going all the way back to the Ancient Egyptians. They had their own explenation, as well as many other religions did. All may or may not be true. Some people think humans have souls. If so, this "soul" would probably be our consience, where we feel guilty for doing something bad. But where IS this? We do not know, even after centuries of spectulation, a "soul", as nice as it may seem, is not visible. Now, we do not know that much about the human brain, and some whole parts lay undiscovered. There is a chance that one of those is our consience. This has only been studied on dead people, as if you take someones brain out to look at it, (Technology is not great enough to find it) the person will die. But what if only your consience moves when you die? Your body is still there, as well as we can see, and we can not see a consience. If your consience is in your brain, and your brain controls your body, when the consience leaves, the blood will stop pumping and your body will get cold. But how would your consience escape, since if it is matter, you can not destroy it, you can only turn it in to energy? The energy. It would slowly leak out, so not to effect your body too hard, and go wherever it needs to go. Your body will get colder and colder until the consience is out, when the blood stops entirely, and there is no warmth left.
