Steve

My life sucks. I went from,"Most popular kid" in the grade from, "The school jerk that got beaten up by a girl." To make the matters worse,my dad has been getting really depressed after I told him that Dahlia was cheating on him. He has gained at least 20 pounds and isn't shaving. I haven't been going to
school for the past week and dad hasn't noticed. I just don't want to far the humiliation of being beat beat up by a girl. I've been going on Instagram the whole morning and I get a video chat request from Derek. I click answer. "Dude, why aren't you on the bus anymore?" He asks. "Well you have to go to
School to go on the bus. " I reply. "Well, you gotta come to school. Miss Franks said that if you miss anymore school your going to have to repeat the sixth grade" he says. "Hey I got to go see you later." I nod and he hangs up. I look at the time. It's 7:39. I can still make it if I go now. I'm now rushing to school on my bike now in the pouring humid Florida rain. I get to school soaking wet and run to home room. I walk in and every body stares at me as if I just murdered there mom. Tory slightly looks at me and quickly looks down at her workbook. She looks different. She's usually wearing jeans and converse but today she's wearing ballet flats, a blue skirt with white tights and a blue faux fur sweater. I see that her "Popularity" has influenced her to act differently. She's also wearing lip gloss. I grab a seat next to her and pass her a note.
Me-what's up. I see you look different.
Her-yes. but it's none of your business any way.
Me- wanna go out?
Her-excuse me?
Me- you heard me. go out with me.
Her-what about Lizzy?
Me-we're not a thing. I feel terrible for what I did. Please just give me a chance.
Her-fine. I'll go out with you. Meet me at the park at 5:00 tonight.
Me-cool. see you then
