The next morning

Connie's pov

Connie woke up earlier then usual she got out of bed and went straight to shower after the shower and getting dressed Connie grabbed her sword and she went down stairs to see her mother cooking breakfast

Mrs Maheswaran: "Connie? your up earlier then usual"

Connie: "Steven and I are going to train today"

Mrs Maheswaran: "ok well would you like some breakfast?"

Connie: "no thank you mother ill get something from the big donut"

Mrs Maheswaran: "but you need to eat something nutritious!"

Connie went to the door

Connie: "bye mom!"

Mrs Maheswaran: "Connie!"

Connie left she walked to the board walk she kept thinking about yesterday mostly the boy that saved her

Connie: "who was he? Why was he in the woods?"

Connie made it to the board walk people would say hi to her and her saying it back she made it to the big donut but she noticed something it was a boy wearing a hoodie and the hood covered his head so it wasn't easy to see his face Connie watched the boy he didn't see her the boy goes behind the big donut Connie followed once there she stopped and hid herself she observed what was happening she saw the boy standing by the dumpster waiting

Connie: "what is he doing?"

The door opened Connie noticed it was Sadie with a bag

Sadie: "sorry I couldn't get the ones you like but I did get some medicine incase you start to feel ill"

Boy: "it's ok as long as i get to eat and don't get sick I'm ok thanks S"

Sadie: "no problem stay out of trouble"

Boy: "I never get in trouble"

Sadie: "yea right"

Out of nowhere the boy took off his hood it was the same kid from yesterday

Boy: "later S"

Sadie: "bye"

The boy left while Sadie went back inside Connie kept an eye on him Connie began to follow the boy she did her best not to be caught as she followed she found herself in the woods the same woods as yesterday

Connie: "what the heck? Is there a house around here?"

Connie kept going in the woods until she found something she saw the boy go into a cave

Connie: "what?"

Connie left her spot she examined what was outside the cave a small grill with wet clothes hanging on a rope Connie walked to the cave she saw that this cave was used as a home

???: "what is all this?"

You quickly turned around

Y/n: "what the hell? What are you doing here?!"

You got one good look at her same skin tone same height same hair color only difference is that her hair was down but could it be?

???: "your the boy from yesterday you saved me!"

Your hunch was correct this is the girl that took out that beast the same girl you saved

Y/n: "why are you here? What do you want?! And how did you find me?"

???: "I well um I came to say thank you"

Y/n: "what?"

The girl gripped her strap of whatever she has on her back

???: "you saved my life yesterday and I wanted to thank you myself in person and for how I found you I saw you at the big donut"

Y/n: "well your welcome now if that's it leave"

???: "what?"

Y/n: "you heard me leave and don't come back I don't want visitors or people around in general ok? Also don't tell anyone where i am or how you met me so forget you ever saw me and forget this ever happened"

By the girls look you can tell she looked frustrated

???: "ok I shall take my leave"

Y/n: "very well"

???: "Connie"

Y/n: "huh?"

Connie: "that's my name Connie thank you again for saving my life"

Silence filled the cave after connie said that you didn't respond you watched the girl leave a weird feeling a feeling you haven't felt in years you quickly shook it off and checked the bag there were a good amount of items there like a bar of soap some new shorts two boxes of matches some canned food a little bit of medicine and a box of donuts

Y/n: "thanks S only person I can actually count on"

You took out one of the donuts and began to eat it

Timeskip

Connie's pov

Connie walked to the beach house still thinking of what happened a moment ago she kept thinking on how you were living alone in a cave

Connie: "was he homeless? but he's just a kid"

When Connie made it to the beach house she saw Steven outside outside stretching

Steven: "hey Connie!"

Connie: "hey Steven"

Steven: "ready for training?!"

Connie smiled

Connie: "lets go"

Connie and Steven went inside

Timeskip

Pearl: "focus both of you!"

Stevonnie: "come on go down!"

Steveonnie tried to fight off the hologram pearls but everything was getting harder and harder for them they swinged the sword taking one out while blocking with the shield until one of the hologram pearls kicked Steveonnie from behind on the ground stevonnie looked up to see the hologram pearl about strike her Stevonnie made a bubble the hologram pearl kept hitting and stabbing the bubble until it disappeared

Pearl: "what happened out there?"

Stevonnie unfused

Steven: "Connie what happened?"

Connie stayed quiet Pearl put her hand on her shoulder

Pearl: "is there something bothering you?"

Connie: "I just have a lot on my mind"

Pearl: "how about we stop for today?"

Steven: "PIZZA!"

Steven connie and Pearl went back to the beach house

Timeskip

As Connie walked home she kept thinking of you

Connie: "what happened? Why is he living in a cave? He must be hungry"

A idea hit Connie she ran home as fast as she could once home she rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a bunch of ingredients

Y/n: "damn that was close but it was worth it"

You walked home after going out and getting food once you walked in the cave you saw something on your bed

Y/n: "what the heck?"

You saw the item it was a bag in the inside there was food a sandwich some fruit soda and candy

Y/n: "thanks Connie"
