Your pov

A month has passed since you met Connie you walked home after getting a few things from the church

Y/n: "I need to stop bothering sister Annabelle"

You made it to the cave you went inside to put your new clothes in the box with the rest of them you passed by your bed to see a small lunch box

Y/n: "Connie why are you so nice? I need to put an end to this"

You places the bag on the right by your bed and unpacked everything

Y/n: "why has she been bringing me food? Why does she care?"

You haven't actually talked to Connie since you told her to leave a month ago but she keeps bringing you lunches for no reason

Y/n: "she shouldn't be wasting her time on me no one should im better off on my own"

The next day

Connie pov

Connie woke up a her usual time since it was summer for her she didn't have to go to school she walked down stairs and made herself breakfast in her head she kept thinking of what are her plans for the day

Connie: "i have training with Steven today but that starts at noon I need to clean the sword and before I go to training I need to make him his lunch"

Once Connie was done she grabbed a few things for your lunch today she decided to make 2 sandwiches ham and cheese with a little bit a mayonnaise she put a bag of chaps a for a beverage was a can of drink up Connie added a apple

Connie: "i hope he likes it"

Connie walked out of her house to make her way to the cave on her way there Connie would greet everyone she saw once at the wood Connie would look for all the trees that have been marked but at this point she was knew where to go she finally made it to the cave before she approached Connie examined the area once she saw it was clear she approached the cave she went in and placed the lunch box on your bed

???: "Connie you need to stop"

Connie turned around surprised

Y/n: "you don't have to spend your time on me Connie just leave me alone"

Connie: "but you are living in a cave no kid should live that!"

Y/n: "not everyone is born the same!"

Connie stayed quiet

Y/n: "Connie just go home don't waste your time"

Connie: "you dont deserve any of this! You have had a chance to live your life!"

Y/n: "i am living it! This is my life no mom no dad no nothing all this is my life stuck in this shit hole of a town with no one that's the life im living!!!"

You sighed

Y/n: "im sorry I didn't mean to yell look Connie you don't need to waste your time here"

Connie: "let me help you please you don't deserve any of this your a good person-"

Y/n: "how would you know that?! You don't know anything about me Connie! I'm not a good person i steal I lie and if it comes down to it i hurt people how is that a good person?!"

Connie: "I know you are one-"

Y/n: "HOW?!"

Connie: "BECAUSE IM HERE"

Connie: "If it wasn't for you I would be dead right now you put your life in danger just to save me! I'm living proof that you are a good person!"

You stayed quiet

Y/n: "you can't help us all"

Connie: "i may not be able to help everyone but i can help you please let me help you"

Connie: "there are a group of well let's call them friends they will help you i promise"

You stayed quiet for a moment thinking of an answer but in your head you keep arguing with yourself beeping filled the cave Connie looked down at her watch

Connie: "I have to get going"

Connie walked to the cave entrance you didn't turn around

Connie: "you can change who you are you still have a lot of time to make yourself be what you want"

You turned around to see Connie

Y/n: "im not saying that they will help they won't but it won't hurt to meet them"

Connie: "let's go!"

Connie grabbed your hand and leaded you out the cave
