I was looking through the menu at Nandos and I didn't know what to get. Everything sounds amazing but some of this I can't have because of my diet. Ugh! I don't know?!
"Do you need help finding something?" Marcus leaned over and asked.
"No." I lied.
"You sure?" He asked again.
"Fine yes." I said.
"I'll order for you." He smiled.
"What are you ordering for me?" I asked.
"Something you'll like. Someone that I used to be close with liked it." He smiled then looked away.
The smile on his face went away. I know who he was talking about. I feel like I should talk to him about it but I don't know if he wants to talk about her. Especially considering I just met him. I'll give it a shot.
"Marcus, can we talk?" I asked him quietly.
"Yeah." He responded. We both got up and walked outside. It was supposed to rain Joe said but it hasn't yet.
"Marcus, Tyler told me about you and Naomi. You don't have to be like secretive about it. If whatever you decide to get me is something that Naomi used to get, I don't mind. But I also understand that if you don't want to talk about her or anything that happened, that's fine."
"Trish, I just didn't want you to think that I'm going to reference things back to Naomi. But I don't want to talk about what happened." Marcus was upset and seemed like he was about to cry. I pulled him in for a hug.
"I'm sorry Marcus. I wish I understood what it was like to break up with someone." I said. Marcus let go. He looked straight at me.
"Wait, you've never been in a relationship?" He questioned.
"No, never had anyone ask me. When I was younger I was a lot heavier so no one thought I was attractive. Then in college, well university, I ended up losing a lot of weight. It was my decision. Within my first year of university I lost fifty pounds. I also got into eating a lot of organic and healthier foods. Now I go to the gym to stay in shape, like you." I smiled.
"Not even in university?" He asked.
"I was too focused on my studies." I told him.
"Well, you're done with school. But let's go back inside. I literally think I felt a raindrop." He looked up at the cloudy grey sky. We walked inside.

We finished eating and I have to say that it was AMAZING! Nandos is now my new favorite restaurant. Marcus ordered me the avocado and green bean salad. I never had a salad like that. It was delicious! It was also funny because as I was just about to have my first bite of my salad, Marcus and Tyler looked at me. They wanted to see my reaction. I couldn't stop laughing but it was amazing.
We just arrived back at Joe's place. Marcus and Joe were talking about old stories that they had at Nandos. They were all hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing.
I walked into the room that I'm staying in and I took my shoes off. I'm so tired. Stupid jet lag. I sprawled out across the bed. What an amazing day this has been.
I grabbed my earphones and started to listen to some music. I've lately been listening to a lot of Deorro. My sister kind of got me to like him. I laid on the bed with my eyes closed with Deorro blasting in my ears. I could fall asleep easily. Then I felt someone tap my foot. I pulled one of the earphones out and sat up. I opened my eyes and it was Marcus. I was literally so close to him. I scooted back a bit. He looked down at the lone earphone.
"Is that Deorro?" He asked.
"Yeah, do you listen to him?" I took the other earphone out.
"Yeah I love him." He smiled.
"Cool but what's up?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, so, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the gym with me tomorrow?" He asked.
"Yeah, but don't you go to the gym in Brighton?" I questioned.
"Yes, and that was another thing I wanted to ask you. Do you and Tyler want to stay at my flat? By tomorrow Joe is going to have a full house. Would you and Tyler want to?" He asked.
"Want to what?" Tyler walked in.
"Come stay at my flat." Marcus responded.
"Sorry, but Troye and I wanted to have a sleepover. But Trish, if you want to go you can." Tyler smiled. Marcus looked at me waiting for an answer.
"Um, yeah sure." I said. I can't wait to go to the gym. I haven't gone in like two weeks. I've gone on runs within that time but I haven't been to the gym in awhile.
"Ok, cool. Now do you want to hang here for a little bit longer or do you want to go to Brighton. It's about an hour drive." Marcus told me.
"I'm tired so I think I just want to head to Brighton." I replied.
"Alright, let me help you with your bags and let's go." Marcus smiled.
