They walked in the kitchen setting down the bags filled with snacks and candy on the table. Robbie payed no attention to the twins and walked over to the couch pulling out his phone. And the twins went up to their room to get ready for bed.
"Mabel I hate this, it's so awkward, I hate this situation." Dipper said to Mabel while turning off the light of their room.
"Ugh Dipper shut uuuup! I get it, you don't like him, but there's nothing we can do. He's our babysitter for two weeks while gruncle is out of town. He seems to not care about you Dipper, I feel like he moved on, and so should you. Goodnight!" Mabel huffed in annoyance and faced the wall.
Dipper sighed and thought back to when they were outside of the supermarket and Robbie kept staring at Mabel. Something didn't feel right. He wanted to figure it out, he really did, but he was exhausted and fell asleep immediately.

Mable's eyes shot open and she bolted up. She was sweating. She looked over at dipper and he was still there, thankfully. She had another nightmare. She always gets those but she hasn't told anyone. She doesn't want to keep reminding everyone of the past. These nightmares always constist of Bill and what they went through and she never seemed to get over it.
She quickly got out of bed but fell back, she felt dizzy and her head was hurting. Her breathing seemed to stop. She was having a panic attack. She pulled up her legs and sat there for what seemed like hours, quietly sobbing, trying to not wake Dipper up and calm herself.
When she finally started to calm down, she wiped her tears and looked at the clock. It was 3:56 am. She stood up and walked down the stairs toward to get a glass of water. She looked like a mess and she didn't bother fixing herself up, since everyone was sleeping.
But she didn't expect to see Robbie wide awake siting with his head on his hands. She let out a yelp but immediately covered her mouth to not wake up dipper. Robbie snapped his head towards her, also not expecting to see her.
"What are you doing up?" He asked. His voice was raspy and he sounded down.
"I wanted to get a glass of water" Mabel said.
"Well? Go on." He said motioning her to the kitchen, clearly wanting to be left alone.
But Mabel changed her mind. She sat next to him and looked at him. He gave her the most confused look with the little energy he had and put his head back in his hands.
"Robbie..." she said, as she got closer. He looked up at her, not expecting to see her closer. He waited for what she was about to say.
"Are you ok?"
Ba-dam
He was taken aback. Those three words, those were the ones he needed to hear. It started with one tear and soon the rest came out. Mabel gasped and leaned in for a hug.
Robbie didn't know what to do. But he was certain about one thing. He didn't want to push her away.
"It's hard. It's hard knowing that the person who you loved stopped having feelings midway. It hurts because she was the one that loved me when no one else would and I became overly dependent on her. Where did I go wrong?"
Mabel looked at him with sad eyes,
"Oh Robbie it's not your fault. Peoples feelings come and go, and I understand it sucks but that's unfortunately how we work. There's nothing we can do about it but move on, because what's feeling bad gonna do? There's so much more to life, new places to visit, new things to do, new people to meet. You need to live in the present, not in the future and certainly not in the past."
Robbie looked into her eyes, finding no evil intention. He pulled her in for another hug. He wasn't the type to show affection, she just caught him in a bad moment. Mabel sighed and rubbed robbies back in circles, helping him calm down.
As they were sitting like that, Robbie thought to himself... what was that heartbeat from earlier?
