Maya's Story

Chapter Two: The Wedding

Maya was missing Ted a lot. It was sort of reflecting in her mood, in small little ways. She needed to work on hiding those feelings. Because a couple of weeks ago, she found out her father arranged her marriage. Of course , she had been beyond furious. This Sunday, however, she was getting married to some vampire prince, she didn't even know. She was against this wedding, she didn't want to get married right now. Plus, she didn't even love this guy, she  loved Ted. If, her father had given her a choice, She would be getting ready for her and Ted's wedding instead. She would've gone behind her father's back but her father might have actually killed him then. So, instead, she was marrying some prince. Sunday was her wedding and she wasn't pleased. Lucky, for her, her father was providing a dowry.

Her father walked into the room and said "Maya, I have something for you."

Maya replied " What is it, father?"

Her father replied "Your mother's wedding dress. I came acrossed it after she died."

Maya replied with happiness "Thank you, father!"

Her father said "Your Welcome"

That night, she went to bed with a lot of thoughts on her mind. As the sun slowly started to rise. Maya's dreams had started to drift and she slowly started to wake up. Tomorrow, was her wedding to the prince, She needed to come up with a plan, and fast. Tonight, she was meeting her future husband and his family. They were coming sometime in the afternoon. So, she needed to find a proper gown to wear.

Maya was getting ready for dinner. She called for her maid.

Maya called " Maid, I need you to put my corset on!"

Maid replied " Yes, Ma'am"

Maya cried angrily "Have you got it on yet."

Maid replied "It doesn't fit right, your highness!"

Maya shouted " It fit yesterday, why won't it today?"

Maid replied " No need to shout ma'am"

Maya yelled " GET OUT NOW!"

Maid replied " Yes,your highness"

A couple minutes later, her fahter came to check on her.

Her father asked "Are you ready yet, Maya?"

Maya softly crying "No, father"

Her father replied " What's Wrong?"

Maya said softly " My corset won't fit right, father."

Her father said " Well, then just don't wear it."

Maya replied "Really???"

Her father replied " I'm pretty sure nobody will notice the difference."

Then her father said " You have ten minutes to get ready and get downstairs"

Maya exclaimed " Yes, father!"

Ten minutes later, Maya was ready to have dinner with Prince Percy and his family. Her father had told  her, his name finally. Dinner was very rare steak with blood noodle soup. Maya thought dinner was fantastic. Her father and Percy's father were hving a very deep conversation. Maya wasn't entirely sure what they were talking about but she figured it was about her future with Percy. After the dessert, which was yummy, blood flavored ice cream. Maya and Percy's mother had a nice, short conversation.

Maya had finally come up with the perfect plan. Marie, was going to take her place, tomorrow. They could be identical twins and you could't tell them apart. Maya's father sticks to the old traditions, so it made it that much easier to do the switch. Maya's father wouldn't see her till it was time to walk down the aisle. Hopefully, her father wouldn't realize that Marie was being her. Now, all Maya needed to do, was tell Marie everything. There wasn't a single flaw in her plan.
