Maya's Story

Chapter four: Lots of Bad News

Two Rogue werewolves had heard about the marriage between Elijah and Penny. They weren't pleased about the marriage at all. They were pretty mad, that the council wasn't going to do anything. So, they were taking matters into their own hands. They were planning to assassinate Tavington. Because they were sick and tired of Tavington always getting his way.

Tavington was on his way back from an important meeting, that he had to attend. And he was lost in thought, he was still surprised that Maya had been able to keep her entire pregnancy a secret. He realized he was always busy with something and he hadn't payed that much attention to Maya. But he was proud because Maya had given him a grandson.

About, half a mile, the rogue wolves picked up Tavington's unique scent. They needed to kill him before he reached the castle limits. They spilt to the sides and ran up, hidden on the sides of Tavington and his horse. Amenity sensed that something wasn't quite right. And so, Amenity got spooked and reared up but Tavington with the quicker reflexes was already off his horse. The wolves attacked without any hesitation and Tavington didn't have any time to react. The wolves attacked twice more before they finally managed to knock him off balance. The wolves went for the final blow and they succeeded. They double checked to make sure, he was dead before they ran off.

Unbeknownst, to the wolves, he was still somewhat alive and he used his vampire speed to get home as non-painfully as he could. By the time, Tavington made it home, he could barely walk and was stumbling to get into the house. He collapsed on the steps and hoped someone would find him. He regretted and wished this wouldn't have happened because he was leaving his daugter and grandson. Later in the day, a maid found Tavington's body. She checked to see if he was still alive. Then, she walked into the house to call Maya and tell her the sad and depressing news.

Around this same time, Queen Clarice had Marie and Percy killed. She didn't know she wasn't actually killing Maya. Lucky, for them, there only daughter Emily wasn't killed.

Maya was just ending the conversation with the maid. She was very sad, that her father had been killed. And they wern't sure, who or what had killed him either.

Maya called " Germain, get in here"

Germain said "What, Mother?"

Maya replied "Your grandfather has died, so we are going to his house"

Germain said "Okay, when are we leaving?"

Maya replied "As soon as possible and we will be living there permanently."

Germain said "Really, mom?"

Maya said "The house has been in our family for generations."

Germain replied "Sounds cool" "Have I ever met my grandfather?"

Maya said "No, you have never met your grandfather."

Germain replied "Okay"

Maya and Germain packed a few items and then headed to her father's home.

Emily was on her way home from school. She hasn't found out that her parents are dead. When she finally did get home, her parents lawyer was waiting for her.

The lawyer said "Emily, please sit down."

Emily replied "Okay"

The lawyer said "Your parents are dead."

Emily replied "What? How? Why?"

The lawyer said " I don't know any details but your going to your grandfathers house."

Emily replied "Okay, let me go pack a few items, before we leave"

They didn't know that Tavington had died. The news hadn't reached them yet. It would take about two hours to get to the castle. Marie, Percy and Emily had been staying at their summer home in Applesburg. They got all settled in the coach and headed towards Winchester castle.
